Kendrys Morales (finger) is back in the Royals' lineup Sunday.

Morales hasn't played since Tuesday due to a sprained right finger, but he took batting practice Sunday without any issues. He's in the designated hitter spot and hitting fifth against Chris Sale and the White Sox.

C.J. Wilson will be shut down indefinitely after feeling soreness in his pitching arm during Saturday's rehab start.

Wilson was initially diagnosed with biceps tendinitis, although more details will be available after he undergoes an MRI. The left-hander got a late start to spring training while working his way back from elbow surgery and has had multiple setbacks with his shoulder since then. He's in the final year of a five-year contract that's paying him $20 million this season.

Elvis Andrus is absent from the Rangers' lineup Sunday.

It's a rare day off for Andrus. Hanser Alberto will handle shortstop.

Ryan Braun (back) remained out of the Brewers' lineup Sunday.

He's missed two straight games and eight out of the last 14 contests with a variety of ailments. His back has been the most recent reason for his absence, so that's presumably why he's sitting again Sunday. Braun has been a beast this season when healthy, hitting .351/.424/.583 with nine home runs, but he's had some trouble staying on the field. Alex Presley is in left field Sunday.

Kendrys Morales (finger) is tentatively penciled into the Royals' lineup Sunday.

He still needs to test out his sprained right finger in batting practice before he's written in in ink. Morales hasn't played since Tuesday.

Salvador Perez (quad) is expected to be sidelined for the next 7-10 days.

An MRI on Perez's right quad and knee didn't reveal any structural damage, but he has a bad bruise and is surely very sore after Saturday's collision with Cheslor Cuthbert. The Royals have recalled Tony Cruz and he will share the catching duties with Drew Butera while Perez is on the shelf.

Salvador Perez (quad) is absent from the Royals' lineup Sunday.

The good news is that while Tony Cruz was recalled, he didn't replace Perez on the roster. The All-Star catcher suffered a quad contusion in a collision with Cheslor Cuthbert on Saturday, but it appears he's avoided a serious injury. Drew Butera is catching Sunday.

Indians manager Terry Francona on Sunday wouldn't reveal whether Carlos Carrasco (hamstring) will make another rehab start or rejoin the major league rotation.

The skipper did say he got a good report on how Carrasco looked in his rehab start with Double-A Akron on Saturday where he allowed one earned run and struck out six over four frames. Carrasco threw only 53 pitches in the outing, so the Indians might want to stretch him out a bit more before activating him.
