Nikola Mirotic scored 14 points with 10 rebounds, one assist, two steals and two 3-pointers in 29 minutes against the Cavs on Saturday.

Two good games in a row? Is this real life? Mirotic was in a serious slump heading into the break and was even a DNP-CD in the last game before the All-Star break. Plus, the Bulls said they traded Taj Gibson because they wanted to get a look at Bobby Portis. Well, maybe this is a wakeup call for Mirotic and he can keep it going. He's far from a must-add guy, but coming out hot after the break makes him worth a pickup for anyone needing treys.

Jerian Grant made another start against the Cavs on Saturday with six points, three rebounds, two assists and two 3-pointers.

He probably had his chance to be the starter and he only played 21.8 minutes per game in his previous starts anyway. Grant isn't really worth owning in any league right now with the arrival of Cam Payne. Michael Carter-Williams was also out for this game.

Cameron Payne made his Bulls debut on Saturday with six points, one rebound, one assist and two turnovers in 12 minutes.

The Bulls could eventually start Payne, but for now it doesn't look like Rajon Rondo is going away. That means Payne will likely be capped at around 24 minutes and there really won't be many chances to produce with Jimmy Butler and Dwyane Wade soaking up all the usage. Payne is really just a deep flier right now.

Jeff Teague scored 16 points with six assists in Saturday's loss to the Heat.

He shot just 5-of-16 from the field and 6-of-7 from the line, adding three boards and one steal in 32 minutes. Teague has cooled off significantly this month and is shooting 41.6 percent from the field in February compared to 54.8 percent in January. The Pacers are in the playoff hunt and Teague is healthy, so it's not a bad idea to buy low before your fantasy trade deadline ends.
Feb 25 - 11:33 PM

Rajon Rondo scored 15 points with two rebounds, five assists and two steals in 25 minutes against the Cavs on Saturday.

After a goose egg in his final game of the first half, Rondo has turned in two solid games after the break. In case you missed it yesterday, coach Fred Hoiberg said he wants to keep Rondo in the rotation to have some veteran balance to go with the youth at the one. He doesn't have a very fantasy-friendly game, so there's no need to add him.

Denzel Valentine scored 11 points with two rebounds, two assists and three 3-pointers in 20 minutes against the Cavs on Saturday.

He's batting 1.000 in productive games since the front office had his back and said they wanted to get an extended look at him following the trade deadline. Valentine's play will make him a viable DFS punt when the Bulls don't have all of their veterans, but it's tough to own in in most leagues with only 20 minutes.
Feb 25 - 11:26 PM

Kyrie Irving scored 34 points during a 117-99 loss to the Bulls on Saturday, adding nine rebounds, seven assists, one block and two 3-pointers in 35 minutes.

He made 13-of-25 from the field with two turnovers as a one-man band at home. Before tonight, Irving had a massive 45.5 usage rate when he's not playing next to LeBron James (illness) and Kevin Love (knee) this season, so his 43.8 usage rate in this loss is hardly a surprise. If LeBron's strep throat keeps him out on Monday, Irving will be another easy DFS target. The Cavs do have a road-road back-to-back set on Friday and Saturday, so keep that in mind for the upcoming four-game week.
Feb 25 - 11:22 PM

Monta Ellis scored eight points on 3-of-12 shooting vs. the Heat on Saturday, adding five assists, three rebounds and two turnovers.

Just when it looked like Ellis was turning the corner, he posts a dud like this. He averaged 13.4 points, 2.4 boards, 4.4 assists, 0.6 steals and 1.2 treys on 62.2 percent shooting from the field in his previous five games, but you might as well give him another chance in an uptempo matchup with Houston on Monday if you picked him up.
