Titans released K Maikon Bonani.

Bonani was competing with undrafted rookie Travis Coons for the starting kicking job in Tennessee. Coons appears to have won the job, but it is possible the Titans will bring in a veteran option after final cuts. Even if he remains the Titans' kicker, Coons is not a recommended option for fantasy.

Free agent Stephen Hill's player rep ripped the Jets following his Saturday release.

"He didn't have a chance that first year with that whole Tim Tebow-Mark Sanchez fiasco," Hill's rep thundered. "His second year, Geno Smith was learning how to play quarterback. So they never threw the ball deep because they wanted to simplify things for Geno." Hill's rep made no mention of his drops of knee issues. The agent went on to say he expects the Browns to place a claim on waivers. It makes sense on paper, but Hill didn't give teams much, if any, positive film to go on.

Lions waived RB George Winn.

Winn was a Mel Kiper favorite coming out of Cincinnati last year. He's failed to impress. Winn averaged just 3.3 YPC on 33 totes this preseason, scoring two touchdowns. He's a candidate for the practice squad in Detroit.

Broncos waived QB Zac Dysert.

The Broncos are only going to roll with Brock Osweiler behind Peyton Manning for now. Dysert went 12-of-19 for 106 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions in two preseason appearances. He's a strong candidate for Denver's practice squad, but could draw multiple claims.

The Dolphins are "pursuing trade options" with third-year WR Rishard Matthews.

Matthews will "definitely" not be waived today, per the Miami Herald, but the Fins are open to moving him if the right offer comes along. Matthews, 24, can play slot and Z receiver, and would be a useful addition to a wideout-needy team. He was buried on the depth chart with the Dolphins, however.
Aug 30 - 1:06 PM

Broncos waived SS Duke Ihenacho, S John Boyett and LB Shaq Barrett.

Ihenacho started 18 games last season (including playoffs), racking up 88 tackles and three forced fumbles but getting exposed in coverage. The Broncos decided to bring in T.J. Ward in the offseason, and then Ihenacho lost a camp battle to Quinton Carter.

Texans waived or released LB Max Bullough, CB Marcus Williams, DE Julius Warmsley, DE Keith Browner, OLB Chris McAllister, LB Chris Young, WR Uzoma Nwachukwu, WR Lacoltan Bester, G Alex Kupper, C James Ferentz, TE Anthony Denham, G Bronson Irwin and T Matt Feiler.

Bullough is the name from this list. An undrafted rookie, Bullough was a third-team All-American his senior year at Michigan State. The Texans would likely hope to stash him on the practice squad.
Aug 30 - 1:03 PM

Lions waived WR Kris Durham.

Durham lasted longer in Detroit than anyone expected. The Lions finally upgraded their receiving corps in the offseason. They can finally say goodbye to Durham. He dropped too many passes and has always been a fringe talent.
