Speaking Thursday, Eddie Lacy (eye) said he's "very blind" and may have to wear goggles for Week 16 against the Bucs.

Lacy's eye is irritated due to an issue with his contact lens. He hopes to be able to wear contacts for the game Sunday, but left the door open for him to pull off the Eric Dickerson look. Either way, Lacy's status for Week 16 isn't in serious question, though he and James Starks could split work more evenly than last week. Lacy is currently our No. 5 running back for fantasy title week.

Impending free agent OLB Brandon Graham hinted he'd like to return to a 4-3 defense.

"A 4-3 end - pass rushing is what you do," Graham said. "I think a 4-3 end, it's better because you're always going that way. You're never backing up." It took Graham a bit to make the switch to 3-4 outside linebacker, but he's flourished there in 2014. Still, he feels more comfortable in a 4-3 scheme. According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, some compare Graham to Vikings DE Everson Griffen, who inked a five-year, $42.5 million deal with Minnesota last offseason.

Coach Ron Rivera said Cam Newton (back) is on target to start Week 16 against the Browns.

Rivera will formally announce a decision this morning. Newton took the majority of the first-team reps in Thursday's practice as a full participant. He'll be a high-end QB2 with obvious upside against the Browns' stout pass defense.

Jaguars DT Roy Miller has been diagnosed with a torn meniscus, and requires surgery.

It's poor timing for a player who just signed a four-year, $16.25 million extension, but isn't a major injury. Miller should be a full participant in the Jags' offseason program. Miller is a run plugger, nothing more, nothing less.

Marcedes Lewis caught 2-of-3 targets for six yards and a touchdown in the Jags' Week 16 win over the Titans.

Lewis' score came on a well-executed fade in the second quarter. It was his first touchdown since Week 2. Going on 31, Lewis is signed for a hefty $6.65 million next season.
Dec 19 - 12:05 AM

Storm Johnson rushed three times for three yards in the Jags' Week 16 win over the Titans.

The seventh-round rookie was a distant third on the depth chart behind Toby Gerhart and Jordan Todman. Johnson could be in for a bigger role in Week 17 if Gerhart is sidelined by his rib injury.
Dec 19 - 12:03 AM

Jordan Todman rushed five times for 71 yards and a touchdown in the Jaguars' Week 16 win over the Titans, adding two catches for five yards.

Todman had the play of the night in the fourth quarter. With the Jags running a fake reverse, Todman took the handoff, made one cut and was off to the races for a 62-yard touchdown. Todman showed serious speed in housing his first score of the year. He could be in for a bigger role in Week 17 if Toby Gerhart (ribs) can't go.
