Buck Allen had eight carries for 15 yards in Baltimore's third preseason game.
He added four catches for 17 yards. Allen was the No. 4 back through the rotation. He worked with the backups, suggesting Terrance West has passed him on the depth chart. Allen has 71 total yards and a touchdown through three preseason games.
Rueben Randle caught 2-of-2 targets for 13 yards in the Eagles' third preseason game.
Most unfortunately for Roob, he played clearly behind Dorial Green-Beckham, Nelson Agholor, Josh Huff, and Chris Givens. Roob ran exclusively with with Chase Daniel offense and will enter next week squarely on the roster bubble.
Amari Cooper caught all three of his targets for 52 yards and a touchdown Saturday night against the Titans.
Cooper's biggest play of the night came on his 29-yard score. Working down the left sideline, the sophomore fought through good coverage to make a diving grab on a great pass from Derek Carr in the back of the end zone. He also showed good awareness to both come back to the ball and then get out of bounds on a sideline catch in the two-minute drill. Now healthy after playing through a foot injury late last season, Cooper could be ready to explode.
Shane Vereen rushed six times for 11 yards in Saturday's preseason game, catching 2-of-2 targets for 18 yards.
Vereen split each of the Giants' first three series with Rashad Jennings, though neither back was effective against a fired up Jets defense. Six carries will probably be Vereen's weekly cap this season. The third-down back — who whiffed on a blitz tonight, getting Eli Manning sacked — finishes August with eight carries for 22 yards, and three grabs for 24 yards. He's on the RB4/5 borderline in standard leagues.
Eagles TE Trey Burton caught 5-of-5 targets for 35 yards and a touchdown in Saturday night's third preseason game.
A special teamer and reserve to this point in his career, Burton has earned a first-team role in the Eagles' offense with a big camp. He did nothing but help himself with an efficient regular season dress rehearsal. 24 years old with a highly athletic skill set, Burton is worth a look in Dynasty leagues.
Zach Zenner had three carries for 13 yards in Detroit's third preseason game.
Zenner outplayed both Dwayne Washington and George Winn, but has struggled this preseason. He remains the favorite to open the season as Detroit's No. 3 back.
Latavius Murray rushed twice for zero yards and caught two passes for 19 yards Saturday against the Titans.
With the Raiders looking to get both DeAndre Washington and Jalen Richard work with the first-team offense, Murray spent much of the first half on the bench. He did return for the two-minute drill, suggesting the Raiders still expect him to be the lead back. It is concerning he lost red-zone work to both Jamize Olawale and Washington, who caught a six-yard touchdown. Murray should enter the season as the starter, but he could be on a short leash.
Eagles second-year WR Nelson Agholor missed his lone target in Saturday night's third preseason game.
Not only did Agholor miss it, he let it clang off his hands and into the arms of Colts CB Darius Butler for a pick. Although coach Doug Pederson tried talking up Agholor late this week, the attempted injection of confidence didn't translate to the game. Agholor's role when the season opens is unclear. Jordan Matthews (knee) will be back and Agholor may be a rotational player only.
