Joe Panik (groin) remained out of the GI ants' lineup Sunday.

Panik is battling a groin injury and will sit out a second straight contest. Kelby Tomlinson is holding down second base again.

Billy Hamilton is batting second for the Reds on Sunday.

Hamilton has spent most of the season in the No. 9 spot but has earned a move up in the order with six hits in his last 17 at-bats. Zack Cozart remains in the leadoff spot for the Reds, while Eugenio Suarez has been moved down to the No. 6 spot.
May 1 - 10:57 AM

Jimmy Rollins is not in the White Sox' lineup Sunday.

He's just receiving some rest. Carlos Sanchez is filling in at shortstop.

X-rays on Zach Britton's left ankle came back negative.

Britton is using crutches and in a soft boot on Sunday, but he's feeling much better and expects to avoid the disabled list. The closer still figures to be unavailable for a few games, which means Darren O'Day or possibly Brad Brach or Mychal Givens could receive some save chances.
May 1 - 10:53 AM

Robbie Erlin (elbow) could play catch on Sunday.

Erlin was shut down last week after feeling some soreness in his elbow. He's not close to a return, and with Cesar Vargas pitching well the Padres can afford to take their time with the left-hander.

Adam Morgan's average fastball was clocked at 90.8 mph during Friday's start against the Indians.

That's up almost a full two mph from last season. Morgan is now two years removed from shoulder surgery and it appears he's beginning to regain his old velocity. "Everything is good, and that's what I'm excited about. Everything has been progressing phenomenally," Morgan said. "It's a good sign, for sure. I'm feeling good, and it gives me confidence." Morgan's upside still isn't all that high even with the better velocity, but he could carve out some NL-only value.
May 1 - 10:44 AM

Jonathan Lucroy is absent from the Brewers' lineup Sunday.

It's a routine day off. Martin Maldonado is doing the catching.
May 1 - 10:38 AM

Curtis Granderson is not in the Mets' lineup Sunday.

Lucas Duda and Asdrubal Cabrera are also on the bench against Giants southpaw Madison Bumgarner. The Mets have Juan Lagares in right field, Eric Campbell at first base and Wilmer Flores at shortstop.
