Cameron Maybin is not in the Angels' lineup Friday due to right knee soreness.

It's the same knee that sent him to the disabled list last month and has now cost him two straight starts. Consider Maybin day-to-day for now. Ben Revere is in left field and in the leadoff spot.

Dietrich Enns (shoulder) has been given a pain-killing injection.

Enns was placed on the disabled list Thursday with left shoulder inflammation and he also had a shoulder issue earlier this season in the minors. He could be an option for some starts next month if he recovers well.

Clayton Kershaw (back) will throw his next simulated game on Tuesday or Wednesday.

It had been slated for Monday, but his schedule has been altered slightly. It's possible that Kershaw will be cleared for a rehab assignment if the next simulated game goes well, although the Dodgers haven't set any clear timetable for their ace.

Kolten Wong was scratched from the Cardinals' lineup Friday due to a hip issue.

He's available off the bench, so it sounds like the Cards are just being cautious. Greg Garcia will step in at second base.

Aroldis Chapman (hamstring) is available out of the Yankees' bullpen Friday.

Chapman tweaked his hamstring Tuesday and wasn't available Wednesday, but he worked out with no issues Thursday and is ready to go. He's struggled of late, but manager Joe Girardi said Friday of the flamethrower that "he's my closer."

Rockies recalled OF Mike Tauchman from Triple-A Albuquerque.

Tauchman had two hits in nine at-bats in his brief time with the big club earlier this season. He doesn't figure to play much.
