Brandon Nimmo is considered day-to-day after an MRI came back negative on his right pinkie finger.

Jun 25 - 3:24 PM

Yankees placed C Gary Sanchez on the 10-day disabled list with a right groin strain.

The move is now official, though the exact timetable isn't yet known. Sanchez was scheduled for an MRI on Monday, so the Yankees should pass along more information soon. Kyle Higashioka has been called up, but Austin Romine should see most of the catching duties for now.
Jun 25 - 3:22 PM

Jake Faria (oblique) threw a bullpen session Monday.

Faria has now missed over a month with a left oblique strain, but he's beginning to ramp things up. Still, the Rays shifted him to the 60-day disabled list, so he's not eligible to return until late July.
Jun 25 - 3:18 PM

Todd Frazier is not in Monday's lineup against the Pirates.

Frazier has scuffled since coming off the DL, so he's presumably getting a day to clear his head. Luis Guillorme will cover third base duties.
Jun 25 - 3:15 PM

Rays recalled RHP Austin Pruitt from Triple-A Durham.

He'll replace the injured Jonny Venters (hamstring) on the active roster. Pruitt has posted a 4.24 ERA and 30/10 K/BB ratio over 51 innings in a long relief role this season.
Jun 25 - 3:12 PM

Orioles activated INF Tim Beckham from the 60-day disabled list.

Beckham missed two months following core muscle surgery. He'll make his return in Monday's game against the Mariners, batting eighth and playing third base. He was batting just .179/.247/.262 over his first 23 games prior to the injury.
Jun 25 - 3:09 PM

Rays placed LHP Jonny Venters on the 10-day disabled list with a right hamstring strain.

Austin Pruitt will take his spot on the active roster. Venters suffered the injury during Sunday's game. The southpaw has put up a 3.95 ERA over 21 appearances this year after a lengthy absence from MLB due to injury.
Jun 25 - 3:06 PM

Matt Ehalt of the Bergen Record reports that Brandon Nimmo (finger) "avoided a significant injury."

That sounds good, but we're not sure what it means just yet. X-rays came back negative after Nimmo was hit in the right pinkie finger by a pitch on Sunday, but he was scheduled for an MRI on Monday. The Mets should pass along more information soon.
