Danny Santana went 2-for-5 with a double and scored both Twins runs in a win over the Royals on Tuesday.

All Santana does is find ways to contribute offensively, and he did it again Tuesday. The 23-year-old reached on a bunt single in the third inning and scored the game's first run, and he doubled and scored in the fifth. Santana has 26 runs scored in 47 games this season, and he's scored seven in his last seven games as he rounds into form following a DL stint for a knee bone bruise. He's batting a healthy .320/.352/.465 on the year.

Marlins recalled INF Ed Lucas from Triple-A New Orleans.

Lucas has hit only .239/.276/.277 across 51 games this season for the Marlins. He'll work in a utility role.

Chris Tillman got a no-decision after allowing five runs (three earned) over five innings in Tuesday's 12-inning walk-off win against the Angels.

Tillman and opposing starter Jered Weaver were nearly equally ineffective, a strange mix that helped the game go extras. The Orioles' right-hander allowed six hits -- including a home run to Josh Hamilton -- while walking one and striking out six. Tillman now has a 3.97 ERA, a 1.35 WHIP, and an 89/52 K/BB ratio, which he'll try to improve when he takes on the Mariners in a homestand finale on Sunday.

Adam Jones hit a solo home run, his only hit in five at-bats, in Tuesday's 12-inning win over the Angels.

Jones tied the game up at 1-1 when he took Jered Weaver deep in the first inning. It's the 20th blast of the season for the 28-year-old outfielder, who now has four consecutive seasons with at least 20 homers. Jones is slashing .292/.319/.491 with 65 RBI and six stolen bases.

Nick Markakis went 2-for-6 with a three-run home run, but the Orioles needed 12 innings to overcome the Angels in a win on Tuesday.

Markakis took Jered Weaver out to right field in the fourth inning, giving the Orioles a 6-4 lead at the time. It was a rare bit of power from Markakis, who now has a .285/.346/.393 line with eight home runs and 37 RBI on the season.
Jul 29 - 11:21 PM

Josh Hamilton finished 3-for-6 with a double, a solo home run, and 3 RBI, but it wasn't enough as the Angels were bested in 12 innings by the Orioles on Tuesday.

Hamilton put the Angels on the board early with a first inning ground out, hit a solo homer in the fifth, and knocked in his third run with a single in the seventh. It was his first home run since July 2, but Hamilton has otherwise had a productive season when he has been healthy. He owns a .293/.365/.442 slash line with six home runs and 32 RBI.
Jul 29 - 11:19 PM

Manny Machado sent the Orioles home winners, belting a walk-off solo home run to left field in the 12th inning on Tuesday against the Angels.

Machado went into the at-bat 1-for-5 with an RBI double, and wasted no time ending the ballgame as he was the first batter reliever Cory Rasmus faced in the 12th. The third baseman has a respectable .268/.314/.430 slash line with 11 home runs and 27 RBI this season.
Jul 29 - 11:16 PM

Mike Zunino doubled and hit a solo home run in three at-bats as the Mariners topped the Indians by a 5-2 margin on Tuesday.

The catcher has now homered in back-to-back ballgames, giving him 16 on the season. Zunino has been lackluster in the average and on-base departments, but he has provided power out of the middle of the Mariners' lineup. He owns a .214/.265/.435 slash line with 38 RBI.
