Mavs waive G Deron Williams.

Feb 23 - 5:14 PM

Thabo Sefolosha is not on the injury report for Friday against the Heat.

He should be good to go and it'll be interesting to see how he fits in going forward. Tim Hardaway Jr. has been very good while the rookies, Taurean Prince and DeAndre Bembry, have improved in the past month. Sefolosha isn't an add in fantasy.

The Rockets are not expecting Lou Williams to play against the Pelicans on Thursday night.

The team likely wants him to get a practice in on Friday before putting him out there. When Williams is a go, it should take minutes from Eric Gordon, Sam Dekker and Ryan Anderson. Patrick Beverley could lose shots, but his fantasy value isn't in scoring anyway.
Feb 23 - 4:49 PM

The Thunder are expecting Enes Kanter (arm) to play against the Lakers on Friday.

Kanter himself said it's a secret on his status, but he also said his arm feels "pretty good" on Thursday. The addition of Taj Gibson should actually hurt Kanter a little big because the Thunder do use a lot of Kanter next to Steven Adams. Go ahead and pick up Kanter, but he's likely more of a late-round guy in standard leagues.

Lavoy Allen (knee) is questionable to play against the Grizzlies on Thursday.

He's been a fine fill-in power forward with Thaddeus Young (wrist) out for most of this month. If Allen and Young can't go, Kevin Seraphin should get another chance as the starter.

Thaddeus Young (wrist) and Lavoy Allen (knee) are questionable to play against the Grizzlies on Friday.

The Pacers were unable to add anyone at the deadline to help their depth at the four or on the wing. Young has been out since his injury back on Feb. 23 due to sprained shooting wrist, so it could take some time for him to get going again. If Young and Allen can't play, Kevin Seraphin should get big minutes again.
Feb 23 - 4:35 PM

Brandon Jennings (Achilles) arrived at practice early on Thursday and is fully expected to play against the Cavs.

He did not play in the final game before the break, so it was likely precautionary. If Courtney Lee (illness) can't play, Jennings could get some added minutes next to Derrick Rose.
Feb 23 - 4:29 PM

With the acquisition of C Nerlens Noel, the Mavericks could decide to start Yogi Ferrell, Wesley Matthews, Harrison Barnes, Dirk Nowitzki and Noel going forward, sending Seth Curry back to the role of sixth man.

This isn't set in stone and Rick Carlisle said there was a "less than 50 percent chance" it will happen, but it does make sense on paper. Maybe Carlisle will continue to use Barnes at PF and bring Dirk off the bench, or maybe he'll start Dirk at center and bring Noel off the bench. Regardless of which way he goes with his lineup, Curry will still be a big part of the rotation either way.
