Carlos Quentin (shoulder) is not in the Padres' lineup Tuesday.

He's now missed four straight starts with a sore left shoulder. Quentin remains day-to-day for now, but the disabled list will become a possibility if he doesn't improve in a hurry. Chris Denorfia is starting in left field Tuesday.

Everth Cabrera (hamstring) is not in the Padres' lineup Tuesday.

Cabrera injured his left hamstring on Sunday and the plan is to give him a few days off. Alexi Amarista is getting the start at shortstop Tuesday.

Tuesday's game between the Dodgers and Yankees has been postponed due to rain.

It will be made up as part of a split doubleheader on Wednesday. Scheduled starters Hyun-Jin Ryu and Phil Hughes will be pushed back a day.

Shelby Miller reported feeling fine Tuesday after leaving Monday's start with a right leg cramp.

Miller was just a little dehydrated, so the Cards pulled him early as a precaution when his calf tightened up. He'll be fine for this weekend's start against the Rangers.

Aaron Hicks (hamstring) will need a rehab assignment before being activated from the disabled list.

Hicks is making progress with his strained left hamstring, but it's not clear when he'll be ready to play in games again. It might be a stretch to hope he can return before the end of the month.

Diamondbacks agreed to terms with first-round pick RHP Braden Shipley.

Shipley, the No. 15 overall pick in this month's first-year player draft, received a signing bonus from the Snakes worth $2.25 million. The athletic right-hander out of the University of Nevada already boasts a high-90s fastball and a power curve. He can rise quickly.

Phillies agreed to terms with first-round pick SS J.P. Crawford.

Crawford recieved a $2,299,300 signing bonus, which was the exact recommended figure for his slot. The high school shortstop was selected 16th overall last week.

Roy Oswalt is officially scheduled to make his Rockies debut Thursday in D.C. against the Nationals.

Oswalt signed a minor league contract with Colorado on May 2 and has registered a stellar 2.16 ERA, 0.93 WHIP and 25/7 K/BB ratio across 33 1/3 innings since reporting to Double-A Tulsa. The veteran right-hander is worth a try in most standard mixed fantasy leagues, though keep in mind that he struggled last year with the Rangers.
