Donnie Avery (groin) did not practice Wednesday.

Avery is likely dealing with a multi-week injury. He should be considered doubtful for Sunday's game against the 49ers.
Oct 1 - 7:42 PM

Jake Locker (wrist) expects to play Sunday against the Browns.

Locker returned to practice Wednesday and was throwing with "no issues." Barring a setback, he should return after missing last week's start against the Colts. Locker will be just a low-end QB2 option.
Oct 1 - 7:38 PM

Joseph Fauria (ankle) did not practice Wednesday.

He remains week to week. Rookie Eric Ebron is coming off a breakout 3/34/1 line against the Jets and will continue to have an expanded role.
Oct 1 - 7:33 PM

Rob Gronkowski (knee) is practicing in full for Week 5.

It's the first time Gronkowski hasn't been listed as limited all season. Gronk played 31-of-50 snaps (62 percent) in Monday night's loss. The fact that the Patriots are no longer limiting him in practice suggests he's close to returning to an every-down role.
Oct 1 - 7:11 PM

Andre Ellington (foot) was limited in Wednesday's practice.

Ellington had been getting Wednesdays off, but was upgraded to limited coming off the Cardinals bye. He'll be an RB2 in Week 5 against the Broncos. Ellington is averaging 45 snaps and 18 touches per game through four weeks.
Oct 1 - 7:04 PM

Jerick McKinnon (ankle) is probable for Thursday night's game against the Packers.

McKinnon was limited on Monday and Tuesday with the Vikings playing on a short week. He's an upside FLEX play for Week 5.
Oct 1 - 6:44 PM

Markus Wheaton (groin) was limited in Wednesday's practice.

It's a new injury for Wheaton, but not one that should hold him out of Sunday's game. Wheaton has 19 catches for 227 yards through four weeks.
Oct 1 - 6:31 PM

The Browns' website expects OC Kyle Shanahan to use a "hot-hand" approach at running back.

Ben Tate will be the starter, but Terrance West and Isaiah Crowell are going to continue to get touches. Both are capable of outplaying Tate, and will remain involved going forward. Tate is the favorite to lead the Browns in carries if he returns this week, but comes with injury and workload concerns.
