Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said the team has not considered demoting Hyun-Jin Ryu to the minor leagues.

However, Roberts also said he has no plans to use a six-man rotation, which leaves Ryu's role in question. The left-hander may have to settle for a long relief/mop-up role until a spot opens for him in the rotation. The Dodgers could also look to trade Ryu, though his value is probably at an all-time low right now.

Justin Turner (hamstring) took grounders at third base on Thursday.

It's the first time he's done that since going on the disabled list last week. He's also resumed throwing from up to 90 feet. Turner will be eligible to come off the disabled list on Monday, though he'll probably need a little more time than that. Logan Forsythe and Enrique Hernandez have been filling in at third base.

Eduardo Nunez (hamstring) is hoping to return Friday against the Braves.

He was scratched from Thursday's lineup due to a left hamstring injury but received treatment throughout the game and thinks he'll be good to go on Friday. Nunez has played all over the diamond this year but has seen most of his action in left field recently.

Corey Kluber's scheduled rehab start with Triple-A Columbus has been pushed back to Friday.

Kluber had been scheduled to pitch on Thursday but with rain expected to hit Columbus, the Indians didn't want to risk having his start cut short. He's still expected to rejoin the Indians' rotation sometime next week, assuming everything goes off without a hitch on Friday.

Randal Grichuk is not in the Cardinals' lineup Thursday against the Dodgers.

Grichuk has appeared in all but one game this year and could probably use a night off. Tommy Pham will take his place in left field and bat second Thursday against right-hander Kenta Maeda. A 4-for-25 skid has dropped Grichuk's average from .246 to .232.

Logan Forsythe is not in the Dodgers' lineup Thursday against the Cardinals.

It's a routine night off. Enrique Hernandez will handle third base and bat seventh Thursday against Cards right-hander Michael Wacha. Forsythe has gone just 1-for-8 with five strikeouts since coming off the disabled list on Tuesday.

Dodgers activated RHP Kenta Maeda from the 10-day disabled list.

He'll be on the mound Thursday against the Cardinals. Maeda landed on the DL with hamstring tightness earlier this month but only missed a couple turns in the rotation. Though his ERA sits at a relatively uninspiring 5.03, Maeda had been on a roll before his injury with two wins and a 2.21 ERA over his previous three starts. Joc Pederson (concussion) was placed on the disabled list to make room for him.
May 25 - 6:38 PM

Dodgers placed Joc Pederson on the 7-day concussion disabled list.

Pederson injured himself in a scary collision with Yasiel Puig on Wednesday night and will need some time to recover. The concussion is severe enough that Pederson has been advised not to use any electronics including watching television or using his cell phone. Brett Eibner, Enrique Hernandez and Chris Taylor are all candidates to fill in at center field during his absence. This is Pederson's second DL stint of the season.
