Packers S Micah Hyde (knee) expects to play in Sunday's game against the Lions.

Hyde has been diagnosed with a bruise, meaning he just has to get the swelling down in order to suit up. Regardless, this Dom Capers defense is likely to get lit up by Matthew Stafford and the Lions. Vegas is projecting this game to have the most total points in Week 3 (53).

Coach Mike McCarthy said WR Davante Adams has "earned opportunities" and produced.

McCarthy declined to name Adams his new starter opposite Jordy Nelson, but it appears we're eventually heading in that direction. After a Jarrett Boykin red-zone drop in Week 2, Adams came on and shined with a 5-50-0 line on seven targets and 37 snaps. As the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel says, Boykin is "steady" but Adams can "stress a defense." The second-round rookie is the one to stash as the potential home run if he can fully pass Boykin. As for this week's potential shootout with the Lions, expect a rotation.

Lamar Miller (ankle) is absent from the Week 3 injury report.

Miller tweaked his ankle in the fourth quarter of Sunday's loss, but it wasn't serious enough to limit his reps this week. Taking over as the No. 1 back in the absence of Knowshon Moreno (elbow), Miller has RB2 appeal in the Dolphins' newly run-heavy offense.

Bengals OC Hue Jackson says he "doesn't have a number" in terms of how many carries he'll distribute to Jeremy Hill and Gio Bernard on a game-by-game basis.

This Bengals' backfield is trending toward a full-blown RBBC. "It’s how the game is flowing and how the guys are flowing in the game," said Jackson, who admitted he was mistaken to give Hill only four carries in Week 1. Hill handled 17 touches in Week 2, totaling 96 yards and a touchdown. "Last week I think I improved in that area, making sure (Hill) was out there and he made some plays," said Jackson. "... That’s why we drafted him ... whatever their name is, whatever it is they want to (call) themselves after, they’re just a tandem." Jackson did make it clear Bernard "is the starting tailback on this football team ... until he proves that he can’t or the other guy proves that he’s better."

Joe Flacco missed Ravens practice with an illness Wednesday.

He has a cold. Flacco should be fine for Sunday's game at Cleveland.

Colts C Khaled Holmes (ankle) has resumed practicing.

He's been out since early August with a high ankle sprain. Fill-in A.Q. Shipley has quietly graded out as a top-nine center at Pro Football Focus, but the Colts reportedly remain "committed" to Holmes as their long-term starter.

According to ESPN New York, Eric Decker (hamstring) remains "on pace" to play in Monday night's game against the Bears despite missing Wednesday's practice.

Coach Rex Ryan said Wednesday he's "confident" Decker "will be ready ... but I should say I guess I’m hopeful that (Decker) will play." Decker may get in very little practice time ahead of Monday night's game, but the extra day to prepare should help. Although Decker has been a WR2 to this point, he should be treated more along the lines of a WR3 option this week due to the injury.

Preston Parker is expected to take over as the Giants' third receiver after Jerrel Jernigan's year-ending foot injury.

The G-Men are turning to journeyman slot-receiver type Parker over UDFA Corey Washington. Parker returns punts, so perhaps he now has some value in return-yardage league. Parker will be the No. 5 option in New York's passing game, behind Larry Donnell, Victor Cruz, Rueben Randle, and Rashad Jennings.
