Dexter Fowler hit his first Cactus League home run on Saturday, finishing 2-for-4 against the Reds.

Fowler hit a solo home run in the top of the seventh inning off of Ben Klimesh, bringing the Cubs within five runs at 8-3. It's been a bit of a slow spring for Fowler, as he's hitting just .237 (9-for-38). The Cubs hope the 29-year-old will be able to reach double digits in both home runs and stolen bases this season as he did in 2012 and '13 with the Rockies.

Aroldis Chapman started Saturday's game against the Cubs and struck out the side in his only inning of work.

Chapman struck out Dexter Fowler, Arismendy Alcantara, and Jorge Soler in succession. The fireballing lefty is sitting on a 16/3 K/BB ratio in 11 spring innings. Manager Bryan Price said prior to the game that "there might be opportunities" to use Chapman for more than three outs during the regular season, per MLB.com's Mark Sheldon.

Didi Gregorius (wrist) will take the next three days off.

X-rays came back negative on the wrist, which Gregorius sprained diving for a ball, and the Yankees hope a few days of rest will go a long way. Yanks manager Joe Girardi said he hopes to get Gregorius back in the lineup on Wednesday. If that timetable holds true, the 25-year-old should be in the Yankees' lineup on Opening Day.

Todd Frazier went 2-for-4 with an RBI single and a three-run home run in Saturday's Cactus League game versus the Cubs.

Frazier homered on Thursday as well, now sitting on four spring blasts along with 12 RBI. His spring has been indicative of what to expect during the regular season: a mediocre average (.262, 11-for-42) with good power and occasional speed.

Rangers released RHP Juan Carlos Oviedo.

Oviedo was told he wouldn't break camp with the club, so he asked to be released in hopes of catching on elsewhere. The 33-year-old had a 3.69 ERA with the Rays last season, but his best days are surely behind him.

Corey Dickerson left Saturday's Cactus League game with lower back tightness.

Dickerson exited after the third inning but said it was mostly a precautionary move. It's not something to be too concerned about, and he should be back in action soon.

Daniel Murphy (hamstring) took five at-bats in a minor league game Saturday.

Murphy is trying to get back for the start of the regular season, but he hasn't progressed to playing the field and time is running out. That he's able to hit is a good sign that he's not far off from a return, though. Even if Murphy starts the year on the disabled list, it isn't likely to be a long stay.

Kelly Johnson doubled and walked twice Saturday as the Braves beat a Blue Jays split-squad 5-3.

Despite starting off 2-for-19, Johnson is up to .273/.385/.523 with two homers in 44 at-bats this spring. He's made a very good case for a bench spot, but if the Braves would prefer to go younger, perhaps Johnson will catch on elsewhere.
