Panthers are working out free agent QB Aaron Murray on Tuesday.

A fifth-round pick of the Chiefs in 2014, Murray was the only member of the Eagles' practice squad not signed to a reserve/future contract after the season. That is obviously not a great sign for his future, but he should latch on with someone as an offseason arm. Backups Derek Anderson and Joe Webb are both under contract with the Panthers for 2017.

Panthers WR coach Ricky Proehl has resigned.

Proehl is stepping down to spend more time watching his kids play college ball. While that excuse usually means someone was asked to leave, that likely is not the case here. Proehl has earned nothing but praise for his work in Carolina since joining the staff in 2011, and he reportedly is well liked and respected in the locker room. It would not be a surprise if he got back into coaching at some point in the future.

Jets RG Brian Winters received $15 million guaranteed in his four-year, $29-million extension.

It is a big guarantee for an upper-middle-class starter, and the $7.25-million average puts him inside the top-ten at the position. The Jets are obviously banking on the 25-year-old taking a step forward from solid starter to Pro-Bowl caliber during the life of the contract. The deal is great news for impending free agents like T.J. Lang, Ronald Leary, and Larry Warford.

Steelers OLB James Harrison is dealing with shoulder and triceps injuries.

Coach Mike Tomlin said the injuries will limit him early in the week, but there is almost no chance he sits out the AFC Championship Game. Harrison continued his monster season in the win over the Chiefs Sunday night, and he should do the same this week against the Patriots.

Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said Ladarius Green remains in the concussion protocol.

Green did not seem particularly close to playing in the Divisional Round, but Tomlin did say he has a chance. He will need to get in some practice reps early in the week to have any shot at returning. The Steelers could certainly use Green as they head to New England.

ESPN Packers reporter Rob Demovsky reports Jordy Nelson is "a bit of a longshot to play" in Sunday's NFC Championship Game against the Falcons.

Demovsky adds Nelson "has a chance to play...but it's only a small chance." The receiver suffered broken ribs in the Wild Card Round, an injury which often requires a full month before a player even thinks about returning. Nelson will certainly give it his all in an effort to get back on the field, but the Packers have not sounded optimistic early in the week. Jared Cook stepped up in a big way with Nelson out against the Cowboys, and he will once again be in a good spot against the Falcons.

Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald reports the Dolphins could move Kiko Alonso to weakside linebacker this offseason.

Alonso played in the middle his first year in Miami, but he may be a better fit on the weakside, where the Bills planned to move him as a sophomore before he suffered a season-ending knee injury. Moving him also allows the Dolphins some flexibility as they search for possibly two new starters at linebacker. Alonso is a restricted free agent, but he is fully expected back in Miami next season.

Vic Carucci of the Buffalo News reports Chiefs co-OC Brad Childress is "out of the picture" for the Bills' vacant offensive coordinator position.

It is not clear why he has been dropped from the race, but it is possible the Chiefs blocked the move like they did when fellow co-OC Matt Nagy was drawing interest from the Jets earlier this month. With Childress gone, the Bills are running out of options. Former Jaguars OC Greg Olson is scheduled to interview on Thursday, and he looks like the best candidate remaining.
