Vikings C Joe Berger (concussion) is out for Week 14 against the Jaguars.
There was optimism Berger would return this week but he's still in the league's concussion protocol. Nick Easton will be the starting center Sunday at Jacksonville.
Tyrann Mathieu (shoulder) has been ruled out for Week 14.
The Cards will stay with Tyvon Branch at slot corner, where he has been terrific this year and arguably even better than Mathieu, whose play has declined due to a multitude of injuries. Mathieu remains out indefinitely. Despite this news, we would not upgrade Jarvis Landry's matchup because he'll now face Branch.
Saints SS Kenny Vaccaro has dropped the appeal of his four-game PEDs ban and will be out for Weeks 14-17.
Vaccaro's absence improves the fantasy matchup for Cameron Brate, who will take on the Saints in both Weeks 14 and 16. Barring an unlikely playoff berth by the Saints, Vaccaro's season is over. Vaccaro was inconsistent his first three years in the league, but his level of play rose immensely as a fourth-year pro. The Saints have him under contract for one more year at $5.68 million.
DeAngelo Williams (knee) is questionable for Week 14 against the Bills.
Williams underwent arthroscopic knee surgery about a month ago and has missed the Steelers' last four games. He practiced Wednesday, got the day off on Thursday and returned to a limited session on Friday. Williams will slide in as the No. 2 back behind workhorse Le'Veon Bell upon his return. Fitzgerald Toussaint has been filling that role for the past month.
Broncos coach Gary Kubiak remained noncommittal Friday when asked about Trevor Siemian's (foot, questionable) Week 14 availability.
Beat writers have sounded optimistic about Siemian's chances of facing the Titans, but Kubiak said he wouldn't have a firm decision until he watches Siemian in Saturday's walkthrough. Kubiak said Friday that Siemian's status would be decided "tomorrow." If Paxton Lynch has to make another start, the fantasy outlooks for Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders would both take a hit.
Jordan Matthews (ankle, questionable) said he will "definitely" play in Week 14 against the Redskins.
Matthews has practiced fully the last two days and should be all set to resume his role as the Eagles' primary slot receiver. Last week marked the first absence of J-Matt's three-year career. Fantasy owners should view him as a WR3 this week.
49ers LT Joe Staley (hamstring) is listed as doubtful for Week 14 against the Jets.
This takes a bit of air out of Colin Kaepernick's bounce-back balloon, and is a concern for Carlos Hyde as well. While Staley has struggled at times in pass protection this year, he has remained one of the NFL's premier run-blocking left tackles. Staley has started in 92 straight games for the Niners.
Updating a previous report, Chris Boswell (abdomen, questionable) is likely to be a game-time decision against the Bills in Week 14.
Mark Kaboly of DK Pittsburgh Sports reported earlier that Boswell was expected to play, but ESPN's Jeremy Fowler said the Steelers won't know his status until he goes through pregame warmups. For what it's worth, Boswell returned to a full practice on Friday following absences on Wednesday and Thursday. Randy Bullock filled in for Boswell last week against the Giants.
