Corey Kluber (back) pitched well in Friday's minor league rehab start with Double-A Akron, allowing just one hit over five shutout innings.

Kluber only struck out one on the night but was in complete command, setting down the final 13 hitters he faced in order. He needed just 47 pitches to complete five innings, throwing 33 of them for strikes. It seems likely he'll rejoin the Indians' rotation next week.

A.J. Griffin was forced to leave Friday's start in the second inning due to an apparent injury.

The tram trainer came out and looked at Griffin's side before he was lifted. Before leaving, he did some damage to the ratios of his fantasy owners, serving up a grand slam homer to Devon Travis. Look for an update on his status shortly.

Rob Segedin will undergo surgery on his injured toe and miss an additional four-to-six weeks.

Segedin has been battling turf toe for the past month and a half already and now will finally go under the knife to correct the issue. He isn't likely to return to the Dodgers until after the All-Star break.

Randall Delgado will make another start for the Diamondbacks on Monday against the Pirates.

The right-hander filled in against the White Sox on Wednesday, allowing just one earned run on three hits over four frames. He'll continue to occupy that spot in the rotation until Taijuan Walker is healthy enough to return.

Giants optioned LHP Steven Okert to Triple-A Sacramento.

The 25-year-old southpaw has struggled out of the Giants' bullpen this season, registering a 6.23 ERA, 1.39 WHIP and 7/6 K/BB ratio across 13 innings of work. He'll try to get back on track in the minors.

Giants activated INF Aaron Hill from the 10-day disabled list.

Hill has been sidelined since late April due to a strained right forearm. He'll resume his utility role with the Giants where he was hitting .120/.241/.240 in 29 plate appearances before landing on the disabled list.

Alec Asher is scheduled to start for the Orioles on Sunday instead of Ubaldo Jimenez.

While there has been no official announcement from the team yet, it's safe to assume that the veteran right-hander has been bumped from the O's starting rotation, as Sunday had been his scheduled day to pitch. He owns a cringe-worthy 7.11 ERA and 32/25 K/BB ratio through 42 2/3 innings on the season.
May 26 - 6:32 PM

Jose Leclerc (finger) will begin a rehab assignment with Double-A Frisco on Sunday.

He's expected to make two appearances before then likely rejoining the Rangers' bullpen. Leclerc posted a 2.31 ERA and 18 strikeouts through 11 2/3 innings before going down with a finger injury earlier this month.
