Twins activated OF Shane Robinson from the 7-day family emergency list.
Robinson's daughter had to undergo an operation over the weekend. He should get some at-bats in center field for the Twins.
Twins placed RHP Ryan Pressly on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to July 5, with a right lat strain.
Pressly underwent an MRI on Sunday that apparently confirmed the strained lat. It's unclear how long he'll be sidelined, but it figures to be longer than a minimum DL stay.
Dodgers 2B prospect Willie Calhoun drove in a career-high five runs Sunday in a win for Rookie-level Ogden.
Despite being listed at a Dustin Pedroia-like 5'9 and 177 pounds, Calhoun has already belted five home runs in 17 contests this season. It's been feast or famine for the 20-year-old. He has four multi-hit games in his last nine appearances but has somehow managed just a .256 average over that stretch. The Dodgers snagged Calhoun in the fourth round of this year's draft after he hit .432 in 63 games for Yavapai Junior College in Arizona.
Jonathan Lucroy is not in the Brewers' lineup Monday.
It's a simple day off. Martin Maldonado is behind the plate while Lucroy rests.
Carlos Gomez (wrist) is back in the Brewers' lineup Monday.
Gomez sat out Sunday's game after having to leave Saturday following a hit by pitch on the left wrist. He's probably still a tad sore but should be fine.
Yankees C prospect Gary Sanchez pounded his third home run in as many games Sunday in a victory for Double-A Trenton.
He contributed three of Trenton's season-high 18 hits. The hot-hitting Thunder have scored a combined 44 runs during their four-game winning streak. Sanchez has hit safely in six of his last seven games with six RBI. The 22-year-old has homered once every 20.7 plate appearances this season, a significant improvement from last season when he homered only once every 36.7 plate appearances.
Travis Ishikawa will take Josh Harrison's (thumb) place on the Pirates' active 25-man roster.
The Pirates acquired Ishikawa off waivers from the Giants on Sunday. It didn't take them long to place him on the active roster. In 34 games at Triple-A this season, he hit .271/.342/.421 with four homers.
Pirates placed 3B Josh Harrison on the 15-day disabled list with a left thumb injury.
Harrison injured his hand attempting an awkward slide into second on Sunday. Some initial reports had the injury tabbed as torn ligaments in the thumb, but Harrison will be reevaluated after the swelling goes down. If the ligaments are torn, he's expected to miss at least six weeks, which would put him on target to return in the middle of August. Jung-ho Kang is starting at third for Monday's game against the Padres and should see the majority of the at-bats in Harrison's absence.
