Yankees prospect Gleyber Torres went 0-for-3 on Wednesday for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre

Torres didn't pick up any hits, but he did walk twice and steal his first base since being promoted to Trenton. It just goes to show you that a player like him can help your fantasy team even when the hits aren't falling. It'll be a lot of fun to see how he adjusts to Triple-A pitching over the coming weeks.

Nationals prospect Erick Fedde pitched a scoreless inning of relief on Wednesday for Double-A Harrisburg.

Fedde was converted to the bullpen last week, and so far, he's looked good in the role. Keep in mind that this is likely a short-term move, as Fedde certainly has the stuff to start. The Nationals need the bullpen help, however, and with three pitches that can miss bats, he could definitely help that group.
May 25 - 1:12 PM

Braves prospect Ronald Acuna went 2-for-4 on Wednesday for Double-A Mississippi.

One of those hits was a homer, which gives him three since being promoted to the Southern League. There might not be a player who has seen his stock soar more than Acuna this spring, and he wasn't exactly an unknown coming into the year. He's still only 19, but it's starting to look like there's a real chance he makes his debut in 2018. He could be a great fantasy outfielder if he realizes his potential.
May 25 - 1:09 PM

Phillies prospect Rhys Hoskins went 3-for-3 with a homer on Wednesday for Triple-A Lehigh Valley.

One of those hits was a homer -- his 13th of the season -- and Hoskins also doubled and scored four runs. Not a bad afternoon. He's been one of the best performers in minor-league baseball, and with the Phillies way out of contention, you have to think they'll give him a chance to play sooner or later. It should be sooner.
May 25 - 12:59 PM

Rays prospect Hunter Wood struck out 10 hitters in just under eight innings on Wednesday for Double-A Montgomery.

In his 7 2/3 innings of work, Wood allowed just four hits and two runs. He also walked two, and, of course, struck out 10. A 2013 29th-round selection, Wood has two plus pitches in a fastball that gets up to 97 mph and hard breaking curveball. He'll need either his cutter or change to get to average, and he also needs to do a better job of keeping the ball in the park. If he can, he can start. If not, he could be a very good reliever.
May 25 - 12:52 PM

Nationals prospect Victor Robles homered on Wednesday for High-A Potomac.

It's the fifth homer of the season for Robles. The power tool is actually the "worst" of Robles projected skill set, but he's shown that he's certainly not a dink-and-dunk hitter by any stretch of the imagination. He should get a chance to face Double-A pitching this year, and he's on his way for a 2018 debut.
May 25 - 12:46 PM

Yankees prospect Domingo Acevedo pitched 7 1/3 shutout innings for Double-A Trenton on Wednesday.

Acevedo allowed just three hits in his start, and he struck out nine while walking no one. Since being promoted to Double-A, he has pitched 13 2/3 scoreless innings, walked two and struck out 14. There's a lot of effort in his delivery, but the stuff is legit, especially his 80-grade fastball. Be it in relief or as a starter, he's going to miss a lot of bats.
May 25 - 12:41 PM

Cardinals catching prospect Carson Kelly went 1-for-3 with a homer on Wednesday for Triple-A Memphis.

It was the sixth homer of his 2017 season, and he's now slugging .529 on the season. Kelly has been excellent with the bat this spring, and he's arguably the best defensive backstop in minor-league baseball. He's one of the best trade chips on the market, which is good, because with Yadier Molina's contract, he's not relevant to the Cardinals. If you have him on your dynasty team, hope that a trade comes soon.
