According to Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official website, Jared Cook has "developed a rapport" with Aaron Rodgers the past two weeks.

Cook was activated from the PUP list two weeks ago from today, and in his first practice with the team, he and Rodgers hooked up for numerous touchdowns in team drills. Hodkiewicz also reports Cook has "caught everything" in practice. Cook has a good chance to set or come close to career-best marks in Green Bay, especially with touchdowns. His current career-high is five.

Thomas Rawls (ankle) won't play in Thursday's preseason game.

Missing Seattle's regular season dress rehearsal is far from ideal, but also entirely expected. Rawls is still locked in as the Seahawks' primary early-down banger, but is facing serious heat from a resurgent Christine Michael. Rawls needs to be on his game from Week 1, something that will be a challenge after barely practicing this offseason.

Asked about Seth Roberts' training camp, Raiders coach Jack Del Rio said he's been "OK."

Del Rio hinted he hasn't been thrilled with his No. 3 wideout's effort this summer. "I think he's starting to feel pushed a little bit, which is what we'd like to have," Del Rio said. Roberts' job isn't in danger, as there's no one who could realistically "push" him. Hopefully the third-year UDFA has gotten the message. Roberts scored five touchdowns on 55 targets last season, and drew praise from Derek Carr earlier this summer.

Giants CB Leon Hall has taken "some" snaps at safety since signing earlier this month.

The longtime veteran has never played safety, but it makes sense as the Giants scramble for depth in their thin safety corps. Having Hall play the occasional snap at the back could kill two birds with one stone, as it would create more of a path to playing time for first-round CB Eli Apple.

Suspended free agent RB Karlos Williams visited the Jets.

It's Williams' first-known visit since he cleared waivers on Monday. ESPN New York's termed the visit as "due diligence," and says a deal is not imminent. Suspended and overweight, Williams will be signing at the nadir of his value if he finds a new home this week. His best course of action may be getting his body right and building his extremely slim leverage.

Colts DE Henry Anderson (knee) is questionable for Week 1.

Anderson came off the active/PUP list on Monday, but it's just a first step. Coach Chuck Pagano is unsure of his status for the opener. Anderson has 19 days to convince the coaching staff he's ready to return.

Eric Ebron (ankle) dressed for practice Tuesday, but was held out of individual and team drills.

In other words, Ebron was in uniform, but limited to side work. Either way, it's a sign that he's progressing on schedule. Ebron will probably miss the Lions' final two preseason games, but barring a setback, will be ready to roll for Week 1.

The NFL will question James Harrison about Al-Jazeera's steroid report on Thursday morning.

The sides are meeting at the Steelers' team facility. The meeting figures to be perfunctory and rife with lawyers. With Al-Jazeera's star witness having gotten cold feet, the league's inquiry is unlikely to go anywhere.
