Bryce Harper will miss Saturday and likely Sunday's game as well with a bruised left knee, according to Adam Kilgore of the Washington Post.

Harper is still feeling the effects of running into the outfield wall on Monday, and it seems as though he'll need a few days to recover. Kilgore said Harper also underwent an MRI on his abdomen on Friday, which came back clean.

Adam Dunn left Saturday's game against the Angels due to back spasms.

Jeff Keppinger hit for the first baseman in the fifth inning. Spasms are generally a day-to-day thing, so we'll have to see how Dunn is feeling Sunday before knowing if he'll have to miss some games. It's unfortunate timing, too, as Dunn has been heating up at the plate.

Jose Molina left Saturday's game against the Orioles with left hamstring tightness.

The injury is considered day-to-day. Jose Lobaton will likely get the start behind the plate Sunday if Molina is unable to go.

Padres activated OF Carlos Quentin from the paternity leave list.

Quentin was out Thursday and Friday to be present for the birth of his son. He returns to a weak .686 OPS.

Padres optioned RHP Brad Brach to Triple-A Tucson.

Brach was sporting a 4.76 ERA and 1.88 WHIP through 17 innings. The righty should be back up eventually.

An MRI taken Saturday on Eric O'Flaherty's left arm revealed a torn ulnar collateral ligament.

That's the injury that almost always leads to Tommy John reconstructive elbow surgery. O'Flaherty will visit Dr. James Andrews next week and is likely out for the year. The Atlanta bullpen continues to take big hits.

Bryce Harper is not in the Nationals' lineup Saturday.

Harper is still trying to get over the various injuries that he suffered Monday when he ran into the outfield wall at Dodger Stadium. Tyler Moore will start in right field Saturday night against the Padres.
May 18 - 5:48 PM

Zach Duke will start for the Nationals on Monday against the Giants.

Duke has been pitching out of the bullpen all year but the Nats need a fill-in for Ross Detwiler, who has a lower back injury. Duke is not a good fantasy option.
