Colts RB Robert Turbin (arm) will miss the remainder of the season.

Oct 17 - 6:14 PM

Redskins signed K Nick Rose.

Rose is replacing Dustin Hopkins, who has been sent to injured reserve with a hip issue. A 2016 UDFA out of Texas, Rose has never appeared in a regular season game. He was a 71.1 percent field goal kicker in the Big 12.

Redskins placed K Dustin Hopkins (hip) on injured reserve.

Hopkins is apparently a candidate for return. He has to miss a minimum of eight games. In the meantime, he will be replaced by 2016 UDFA Nick Rose. The Redskins' kicker since 2015, Hopkins has been an 84 percent field goal kicker, and converted 5-of-13 kicks of 50 yards or longer. 2017 is the final year of his contract.

Giants placed DE Romeo Okwara on injured reserve with a sprained MCL.

He suffered the injury in practice last week. The 2016 UDFA had played just 78 snaps so far this season after starting four games as a rookie.
Oct 17 - 5:26 PM

Titans OLB Derrick Morgan is day to day with a strained abdominal.

Morgan suffered the injury in Monday's win over the Colts. Morgan has started all six games thus far this season, playing about 75 percent of the snaps.

Speaking Tuesday, Titans coach Mike Mularkey said the team's Week 6 timeshare at running back was a "good model."

Derrick Henry and DeMarco Murray both played 39 snaps one week after Murray out-snapped Henry 49-11. Henry ran circles around Murray against the Colts, out-touching him 20-16 and out-gaining him 145-87. Mularkey also said Henry has become the team's "go-to" running back in the fourth quarter. Mularkey's comments make it clear there shouldn't be another game where Murray plays 38 more snaps than Henry, but it's going to remain a messy situation, with the veteran likely to continue taking the lead. Henry has been the better player this season. Maybe the Titans' workload delineation will eventually begin to reflect that.
Oct 17 - 5:14 PM

DeMarco Murray is dealing with hamstring tightness, but will be active for Week 7.

One week after dominating snaps, Murray played as many (39) as Derrick Henry against the Colts. Henry both out-touched and out-gained his veteran backfield mate as Murray checked in and out of the game. Murray has been battling hamstring issues since training camp, and is merely the RB18 by total points through the season's first six weeks. He'll be a risk/reward RB2 for Week 7 against the Browns.
Oct 17 - 5:09 PM

Marcus Mariota (hamstring) escaped Monday night's win over the Colts without setbacks.

Mariota's mobility was noticeably limited, but he played better and better as the game wore on. It was an extremely impressive effort by a player who isn't known for staying confined to the pocket. Mariota offers monster upside for Week 7 against the Browns.
