Eagles UDFA Henry Josey rushed four times for 48 yards in Thursday's preseason game against the Steelers, adding one catch for eight yards.

Aug 21 - 10:50 PM

Steelers rookie Dri Archer caught 3-of-4 targets for 14 yards in Thursday night's third preseason game.

Through three preseason weeks, the third-rounder from Kent State has just ten yards on four carries but 108 yards on seven receptions, including gains of 40 and 46 in Pittsburgh's first two exhibitions. Archer possesses 4.26 speed, but is a package player who can't run between the tackles. His ceiling is essentially a more explosive Dexter McCluster in OC Todd Haley's offense.
Aug 21 - 10:48 PM

Zach Ertz caught 2-of-2 targets for 24 yards in Thursday's preseason game.

Brent Celek stole Ertz's thunder with two highlight-reel grabs, but according to Pro Football Focus' Nathan Jahnke, Ertz was on the field for 31 of Philadelphia's first 49 snaps. Ertz spent ample time in the slot. Celek could occasionally cramp Ertz's style, but we still think Ertz is an intriguing back-end TE1. He has eight catches for 110 yards and a touchdown through three preseason games.
Aug 21 - 10:46 PM

Eagles RB Matthew Tucker rushed 10 times for 46 yards and two touchdowns in Thursday night's third preseason game.

He worked as Philly's No. 3 tailback behind LeSean McCoy and Darren Sproles, although Chris Polk (hamstring) remains sidelined. Tucker is on the bubble, but has helped himself with a strong August, compiling 18 runs for 86 yards (4.78 YPC) and a preseason-NFL-high four rushing TDs, to go with a 15-yard catch. With McCoy, Sproles, and probably Polk locked in, Tucker, Henry Josey, and Kenjon Barner are likely vying for one roster spot.
Aug 21 - 10:42 PM

Brent Celek caught two passes for 41 yards in Thursday's preseason game against the Steelers.

Both of Celek's catches were tough-handed grabs down the seam. Although Celek appeared to be cramping Zach Ertz's style, Ertz played as many, if not more, snaps. Celek remains an extremely reliable pair of hands in the middle of the field, but is just a mid-range TE2 for fantasy purposes. He's a more valuable player on the actual gridiron.
Aug 21 - 10:40 PM

Antonio Brown caught three passes for 59 yards in the Steelers' regular-season dress rehearsal against the Eagles.

Brown drew five targets. His longest catch, 22 yards, was a ball he pulled off a defender's back. He finishes the preseason with seven catches for 193 yards. Locked and loaded as the No. 1 receiver for an offense committed to the no-huddle, Brown is somehow shaping up as a value pick one year after finishing second in both receptions and receiving yards. He's generally the WR9 in fantasy drafts.
Aug 21 - 10:24 PM

Riley Cooper caught three passes for 25 yards in Thursday's preseason game against the Steelers.

It was Cooper's preseason debut after he missed the Eagles' first two games with a minor foot issue. Cooper could have had a touchdown, but committed a drop in the end zone. Although Cooper is locked into two-receiver sets, he's a deep threat who will remain a boom-or-bust WR3/4 for fantasy purposes.
Aug 21 - 10:14 PM

Darren Sproles rushed six times for 33 yards and a touchdown in Thursday's regular-season dress rehearsal, adding one catch for four yards.

Mixing in with LeSean McCoy, Sproles got work between the tackles after Shady departed with a minor thumb injury. Coach Chip Kelly has been insistent that he views Sproles first-and-foremost as a running back, but catching passes remains where he'll make his biggest impact. He finishes the preseason with nine carries for 44 yards, and three catches for 17 yards. He's an RB4, though a viable FLEX play in PPR leagues.
