Hanley Ramirez clubbed a two-run homer in the first inning on Sunday helping to power the Red Sox to a 6-2 victory over the Cubs.
The Red Sox got to Kyle Hendricks early in this one, with Andrew Benintendi reaching on a single and riding home on Ramirez's blast over the Green Monster. Ramirez also drew a walk in the ballgame, finishing the night 1-for-3 with two RBI. Through the first month of the season he's hitting .253/.314/.405 with three homers and 11 RBI.

The Red Sox loaded the bases with no outs in the eighth inning of a 2-2 ballgame. Mookie Betts struck out for the first out in the inning, but Pedro Strop unleashed a wild pitch on a 2-2 offering to Hanley Ramirez that allowed Hernandez to score. He finished the night 1-for-3 and is hitting .288/.315/.327 on the season.
Eduardo Rodriguez was dominant in a no-decision against the Cubs on Sunday night, striking out nine over six innings of one-run ball.
The left-hander gave up five hits and walked two on the night. The only blemish on his evening was a solo homer off the bat of Kris Bryant in the fifth inning. He left in line for his second victory of the season, but the Red Sox' bullpen was unable to oblige. Rodriguez owns a 2.70 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 31/14 K/BB ratio through his first 23 1/3 innings on the season. He'll take on the Twins his next time out in Minnesota on Friday.
Kris Bryant crushed his fourth home run of the season as the Cubs fell to the Red Sox on Sunday night in Boston.
Bryant's fifth-inning blast was the only damage off of Red Sox' starter Eduardo Rodriguez in this one. He finished the night 1-for-4 and is now hitting .289/.391/.515 with four homers and 14 RBI on the season.
Kyle Hendricks logged a quality start in a no-decision against the Red Sox on Sunday.
The right-hander surrendered two runs on three hits over his six frames while walking three and striking out six. All of the damage against him came on one mighty blow from Hanley Ramirez in the first inning. Still 2-1 on the season, Hendricks will carry a 4.18 ERA and 1.21 WHIP into Friday's start against the Yankees.
Daniel Descalso slugged a walk-off home run in the 13th inning on Sunday, powering the Diamondbacks to a 2-0 victory over the Rockies.
In a well-pitched and hotly-contested ballgame, the Diamondbacks finally broke through off of Jordan Lyles in the 13th inning. Brandon Drury got things started with an infield single before Descalso crushed the game-winner over the wall in right-center. He finished the afternoon 3-for-6 and is now hitting .178/.275/.333 with two long balls and eight RBI on the year.
A.J. Pollock didn't start on Sunday but went 2-for-2 with a double off the bench in an extra-inning victory over the Rockies.
Pollock nearly ended the game in the 12th inning when he crushed a ball over 420 feet to center field that went for a double. He has had an outstanding first month of the season, slashing .324/.366/.486 with two homers, eight RBI and 10 stolen bases.
