ESPN Lions reporter Michael Rothstein expects RB Zach Zenner to play on special teams and get a "few carries here and there" if he makes the roster.

Zenner has piled on 162 rushing yards in three preseason appearances. He's likely done enough to secure a roster spot ahead of George Winn, though his workload won't be significant enough to warrant fantasy consideration.

Lions coach Jim Caldwell said RB Joique Bell is "moving along really well" in his recovery from offseason knee and Achilles surgeries.

Bell said he's made "good progress" though the Lions are still "playing it by ear." He hasn't suited up for any of the Lions' preseason games and has yet to resume practicing. Bell doesn't expect to be limited upon his return. Promising rookie Ameer Abdullah will have a role regardless of Bell's health.

Ryan O'Halloran of the Florida Times Union believes the Jaguars could be open to trading one their two kickers.

The Jaguars are unlikely to keep both Josh Scobee and Jason Meyers when the roster shrinks from 75 to 53 in a few days. Both players have had good preseasons and could be swapped for late-round picks. The Steelers could be interested in acquiring a fresh leg. Shaun Suisham went down with a torn ACL in his first preseason game while Garrett Hartley is nursing a hamstring injury.

X-rays on Arthur Jones' sprained ankle came back negative.

Jones hurt himself in Saturday's dress rehearsal against the Rams. He'll undergo further testing Sunday to determine how bad the sprain is. It's unclear if the six-year veteran will be available for the season opener against Buffalo on September 13.

Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said K Garrett Hartley's availability for Week 1 against the Patriots "isn't looking good."

He suffered a hamstring injury Saturday against Buffalo and is headed for an MRI. Hartley signed earlier this month after going down with a torn ACL. It's been a rough camp for Pittsburgh kickers. Free agent Jay Feely worked out with the Steelers on Friday and could be the team's best option with Hartley sidelined.

X-rays on Randall Cobb's injured shoulder came back negative.

He'll have more tests Sunday but it looks like he's going to be okay. Cobb got hurt on his third play from scrimmage Saturday against the Eagles. At first he thought he broke his collarbone but that wasn't the case. "I just caught the ball and was going down to the ground, and I had a guy land on top of me," said Cobb. "It's not what we think it could've been." Cobb isn't sure if he'll be ready for Week 1 against Chicago.

The Washington defense struggled with the Baltimore first-team offense on Saturday, allowing Joe Flacco to throw for 137 yards and touchdown with a 122.9 passer rating.

Washington did come out on top in this contest by a score of 31-13, but the first-team issues are concerning for a team that struggled against the pass in 2014. New offensive coordinator Joe Barry’s defense should be shelved in fantasy leagues and will have a tough time handling the offenses of the NFC East.

The Titans first-team defense gave up 17 points to the Kansas City offense over their first three possessions on Saturday.

The Titans allowed Alex Smith to connect with his two favorite targets as both Jeremy Maclin and Travis Kelce hauled in touchdown catches early in the game. Coach Ken Whisenhunt said, "We knew it would be tough coming in here and I think we just made too many mistakes early." The Titans D/ST can be avoided in fantasy drafts and despite facing a rookie quarterback in Jameis Winston, will not be recommended for use in Week 1 as the Titans travel to Tampa Bay.
