Redskins team president Bruce Allen was adamant on Tuesday that free agent Kirk Cousins isn't going anywhere.

Allen said that on a 1-10 scale -- 10 being the highest -- the odds of Cousins staying in Washington were a 10. "Yeah. Kirk is our quarterback," Allen said. "He's played well the last two years. I know there's other speculation, but it doesn't come from the Redskins." The "speculation" is that the 49ers might make a run at Cousins whenever Kyle Shanahan is named their head coach. Shanahan coached Cousins in D.C., and San Francisco needs a quarterback. Unfortunately for them, it doesn't sound like Cousins is getting out of Washington.

Carson Wentz will train with quarterback guru Adam Dedeaux this offseason.

Dedeaux is a former minor league pitcher who recently took over Tom House's company. House worked with some of the game's top quarterbacks including Tom Brady, Drew Brees, Carson Palmer and Matt Ryan. Wentz's mechanics deteriorated over the course of his rookie season, resulting in an uptick in turnovers. Wentz threw 14 interceptions over the final 13 weeks.

Cowboys Executive VP Stephen Jones confirmed the team will exercise RG Zack Martin's fifth-year option for 2018.

Also, the sky is blue. Picking up Martin's option is the definition of a no-brainer. He's arguably the best guard in football and showed it again by earning his third All-Pro selection this past season. Don't be surprised if the Cowboys take it a step further by giving Martin a long-term contract.

Cowboys Executive VP Stephen Jones said the team would like to re-sign impending free agents Terrance Williams and Brice Butler.

On a good day, Williams is the Cowboys' No. 4 receiving option behind Dez Bryant, Cole Beasley and Jason Witten. Williams is a candidate to get overpaid this offseason. We would love to see the Cowboys let Williams walk and give superior talent Butler a legitimate chance to nail down the No. 2 wideout role.

Giants signed OT Michael Bowie to a reserve/future contract.

The signing occurred two weeks ago, but we find it notable. The former Seahawks draft pick started nine games as a 2013 rookie before injuries sent his career off the rails. He spent a couple years in Cleveland but could never get healthy and actually stepped away from the game back in August. Bowie is ready to attempt a comeback, and tackle is one of the Giants' bigger needs.

Cowboys Executive VP Stephen Jones said it's "too early" to talk about moving G La'El Collins to tackle.

Collins struggled in his three appearances at left guard this year before bowing out with a season-ending toe injury. Ronald Leary filled in seamlessly but he's headed for free agency. We're guessing Collins will get another shot at left guard if he can stay healthy next year.

Cowboys Executive VP Stephen Jones said DE Demarcus Lawrence will undergo back surgery this offseason.

Just as he did a year earlier. Lawrence led the team with eight sacks in 2015 but only had one this past season. The former second-round pick is heading into the last year of his rookie contract. Jones also mentioned that DT Cedric Thornton will undergo offseason shoulder surgery.

Alex Marvez of The Sporting News reports Mike Nolan is interviewing for a job with the Saints.

Remember him? The former 49ers coach was out of the league last year following a one-year stint as the Chargers' LBs coach. The Saints may view him as a replacement for Joe Vitt, who was fired as LBs coach shortly after the season. Nolan was also up for the role of Jaguars' LBs coach but recently withdrew his name from consideration.
