Jerad Eickhoff (shoulder) threw a successful 35-pitch bullpen session on Saturday.

Eickhoff was even able to mix in around 10 curveballs during the session and reportedly felt great afterwards. The next step for him will be to repeat the process in a another couple of days. There's still no clear timetable for his potential return to the Phillies' rotation.

Braves optioned OF Preston Tucker to Triple-A Gwinnett.

No word yet on the corresponding move, but the Braves are expected to call up a reliever to add bullpen depth. Tucker, 27, has hit .250/.298/.411 with three homers and 21 RBI in 56 games with the Braves this season.

Miguel Rojas was scratched from the Marlins' starting lineup on Saturday.

No word yet on the reasoning for the late scratch. Derek Dietrich will start in his place and bat fifth for the Marlins against Tyler Anderson and the Rockies on Saturday.

Royals optioned OF Paulo Orlando to Triple-A Omaha.

The 29-year-old has struggled mightily in his time with the Royals this season, slashing just .177/.207/.215 with no homers, five RBI and a 23/3 K/BB ratio over 82 plate appearances. He'll look to get back on track at Triple-A.

Royals activated 1B Lucas Duda from the 10-day disabled list.

He had been sidelined since May 14 due to plantar fasciitis on his right foot. Prior to landing on the disabled list, he was hitting .256/.317/.398 with four homers and 19 RBI. With Hunter Dozier sticking around, it's not yet clear how exactly the playing time will shake out at first base upon Duda's return.

Red Sox recalled INF Tzu-Wei Lin from Triple-A Pawtucket.

With Xander Bogaerts sidelined on Saturday with a finger injury, Lin will provide extra infield depth. He has hit just .188 (6-for-32) in 14 games for the Red Sox this season.

Red Sox optioned LHP Robby Scott to Triple-A Pawtucket.

It was a short stay with the big league club for the left-hander, who will head back to Triple-A to function as additional bullpen depth. He should get another opportunity with the big league club later this summer.

Giants recalled INF/OF Austin Slater from Triple-A Sacramento.

The 25-year-old has appeared in six games for the Giants this season, going 3-for-11 (.273) with a 4/4 K/BB ratio in 16 plate appearances. With Mac Williamson out of the picture, it's unclear if Slater or Hunter Pence will handle the bulk of the action in left field.
