Mario Hezonja scored 13 points with two rebounds, two assists, three steals, one block and one 3-pointer in 25 minutes against the 76ers on Saturday.

Perhaps the most noteworthy part of this game from a Magic perspective is that the Magic played most of the fourth quarter with Mario, Aaron Gordon, Jonathon Simmons, Evan Fournier and Nikola Vucevic, so they're OK going no PG. Coach Frank Vogel said he's going to play Mario "a lot" of minutes and it sounds like he's going to keep his word. Mario should be owned in standard leagues.
Feb 24 - 7:33 PM

Evan Fournier scored 16 points with six rebounds, two assists, one block and one 3-pointer in 35 minutes against the 76ers on Saturday.

He was very quiet until the fourth quarter when the Magic had their best five players against the Philly garbage-time unit. Fournier should be good to go and the Magic haven't said anything about resting him yet. Fire him up in all leagues next week.
Feb 24 - 7:32 PM

D.J. Augustin scored eight points with one rebound, two assists and two 3-pointer in 23 minutes against the 76ers on Saturday.

The Magic went with a no-PG lineup in the fourth quarter with their starters and Mario Hezonja instead of DJA. Things aren't looking good for DJA since his first start after the deadline, averaging just 10.6 points, 2.0 boards, 3.6 assists, 0.2 steals and 2.0 treys on 36.8 percent from the field. He'll be better, but his upside isn't the greatest and shallow-league owners can probably do better. The no-PG lineup thing could continue, which would really cap his upside.
Feb 24 - 7:31 PM

Nemanja Bjelica will start for Jimmy Butler (knee) against the Bulls on Saturday.

Coach Tom Thibodeau doesn't get cute and goes right back to the well. Bjelica is familiar with the other four starters and has played 76 minutes next to them. He was also productive in that time, posting per-36 averages of 15.7 points, 7.1 boards, 1.9 dimes, 1.9 steals and 2.4 treys. He's the hottest pickup in competitive leagues right now with Butler possibly out for the season.
Feb 24 - 7:27 PM

Jonathon Simmons (ankle) scored nine points with four rebounds, four assists, one steal and one 3-pointer in 32 minutes against the 76ers on Saturday.

He's stuck in a slump and now he'll have to share the ball more with guys like Aaron Gordon and Nikola Vucevic. Over his last five games, Simmons averaged just 9.8 points, 3.8 boards, 4.0 assists, 1.0 steals and 0.4 terms on 36.8 percent from the field. He'll be better than this, but dropping him in a shallower league is certainly an option. He does have four games next week, though.
Feb 24 - 7:23 PM

Tyson Chandler (neck) will not play against the Blazers on Saturday.

The Suns are saying "hopefully soon" Chandler will be back, but they're probably not in a hurry. Alex Len has a clear runway for minutes and is worth a pickup while he's healthy.
Feb 24 - 7:22 PM

Shelvin Mack scored seven points with one rebound, four assists and one 3-pointer in 18 minutes against the 76ers on Saturday.

The Magic turning loose some no-PG lineups is bad news for Mack, so that's really going to lower his floor when he's not going strong. He's a drop candidate after he had some momentum last weekend.
Feb 24 - 7:19 PM

Deyonta Davis and Jarell Martin are starting against the Heat on Saturday.

Marc Gasol is presumably getting the night off tonight and there will be more minutes going to the young guys going forward. Gasol isn't likely to be shut down, so Davis may only be a spot-start option tonight.
