The Oakland Tribune expects Marcel Reece to "again recede into the background" with Rashad Jennings cleared from his concussion.
The Trib's Jerry McDonald is the second Raiders beat writer to expect Jennings to immediately assume a clear-cut lead back role in Week 15, despite Reece's 161-yard, one-score shredding of the Jets' formerly league-best run defense. "Whatever these coaches need me to do, whatever my team needs me to do, I'm going to do it," said ultimate team player Reece. Look for Reece to be Jennings' change-of-pace back this week against Kansas City.
Free agent WR Deion Branch worked out for the Colts.
It's the first time we've heard the 34-year-old's name in half a year. Branch has little to nothing left in the tank and wouldn't be anything more than the No. 5 receiver in Indianapolis. RB Shaun Draughn also worked out for Indy.
Doug Baldwin (neck) did not practice Wednesday.
We didn't notice Baldwin suffer any sort of injury last week against the 49ers, and he played his normal amount of snaps. Baldwin has a date with the Giants this week and has some WR3 upside. He'll be updated again Thursday.
Marshawn Lynch (shoulder) did not practice Wednesday.
The shoulder injury is yet another new issue for Beast Mode this season, but we've seen him sit out plenty of practices before playing on Sunday. As of right now, we have no reason to believe that will change. Lynch is a locked-in RB1.
Kenbrell Thompkins (hip) was limited in Wednesday's practice.
Thompkins was inactive for last week's game against the Browns after getting in a full slate of limited practices, so we really have no idea if he'll play this week against the Dolphins. Thompkins would be nothing more than a WR4.
Tom Brady (right shoulder) was limited in Wednesday's practice.
Brady should be fine for Week 15 against the Dolphins on the road. Without Rob Gronkowski (torn ACL, MCL), consider Brady a back-end QB1.
Michael Crabtree (ankle) was limited in Wednesday's practice.
Crabtree played on 61-of-69 snaps last week against the Seahawks. He'll remain an every-down receiver for the remainder of the season. Crabtree has a tough Week 15 matchup with Darrelle Revis. He's merely a WR3/4.
Aaron Dobson (foot) remained sidelined at Wednesday's practice.
Dobson hasn't practiced for weeks and remains without a timetable for return.
