Aaron Harang threw seven no-hit innings in a win over the Mets on Friday.

Harang was pulled after throwing 121 pitches. Six walks cost him a chance to finish off the no-hit bid. The Mets finally got a hit when David Wright singled off Luis Avilan with two outs in the bottom of the eighth. Some questioned the Braves' decision to release Freddy Garcia and sign Harang at the end of spring training, but things have worked out brilliantly for the Braves so far. Through four starts, the 35-year-old has a 0.70 ERA and 22/12 K/BB ratio over 25 2/3 innings. He'll try to keep his surprising resurgence alive next week against the Marlins at home.

Jon Niese tossed six innings of one-run ball Friday in a loss to the Braves.

Niese was pulled for a pinch-hitter in the bottom of the sixth inning, as the Mets were hitless at the time. The southpaw gave up four hits and three walks while striking out seven batters. The lone run scored on a Chris Johnson double in the second inning. While Niese fell to 0-2 on the year, he now has a 2.84 ERA and 16/5 K/BB ratio in 19 inning across three starts. He'll get the Cardinals next week at home.

Gonzalez Germen was charged with four runs on four hits and one walk over two-thirds of an inning Friday against the Braves.

An off night for Germen, who came into Friday's outing with 8 1/3 scoreless innings over his last six outings. The 26-year-old could be a sleeper for the closer role if (or when) Jose Valverde falters.

Freddie Freeman went 2-for-5 with a two-run homer in Friday's win over the Mets.

His ownership of the Mets continues. Freeman is hitting .390 (23-for-59) with five home runs and 12 RBI through 16 games this season and appears ready to emerge as an elite fantasy option.
Apr 18 - 10:37 PM

Chris Johnson went 3-for-4 with an RBI double and a run scored Friday against the Mets.

Johnson has had a slow start to the season, but he now has two three-hit games in his last three games. The 29-year-old might not duplicate the .321 batting average he had last season, especially if he continues to strike out at this early pace, but he hits plenty of line drives and uses the whole field. It should help him come pretty close to another .300 season.
Apr 18 - 10:37 PM

Giancarlo Stanton blasted a walk-off grand slam off Yoervis Medina on Friday, powering the Marlins to an 8-4 victory.

Stanton had a huge night at the plate, going 3-for-3 with a pair of runs scored, five RBI and also walked twice. He's been an absolute monster in the first few weeks of the season, slashing .329/.390/.657 with six homers and 26 RBI. As long as he can remain healthy, the sky is the limit.
Apr 18 - 10:36 PM

Chris Young was hitless in four at-bats against the Braves on Friday in his return from the disabled list.

Young, out since Opening Day with a quad strain, batted fifth in his return. He should be the regular center fielder for New York until Juan Lagares returns from the disabled list, so he could be worth a pickup in deeper mixed fantasy leagues.
Apr 18 - 10:34 PM

Christian Yelich continued his hot-hitting in Friday's win over the Mariners, going 3-for-5 with a double and a run scored.

The 22-year-old outfielder has now hit safely in each of his last 12 games, and owns a terrific .338/.403/.415 line on the season with 12 runs scored and three stolen bases. Fantasy owners who secured him in the middle rounds of drafts have to be thrilled with the early returns.
