Cesar Cabral was ejected from Friday's game against the Rays after hitting three consecutive hitters in the eighth inning.

It was an epic meltdown for Cabral, who seemed to legitimately have no idea where the ball was going. With David Robertson's impending return from the disabled list on Tuesday, it wouldn't be a surprise to see the southpaw return to Triple-A for more seasoning.

Blue Jays activated INF Jose Reyes from the 15-day disabled list.

Reyes, who has been out since March 31 due to inflammation in his hamstring, will rejoin the Blue Jays lineup on Saturday. While he's incredibly talented, his long history of hamstring injuries continues to be worrisome for fantasy owners, especially playing half of his games on the turf in Toronto.

Blue Jays transferred Maicer Izturis to the 60-day disabled list.

This was done merely as a procedural move to clear a spot for Juan Francisco on the 40-man roster. Izturis, sidelined with a ligament tear in his left knee, isn't expected to be ready to return until September.

Blue Jays optioned INF Munenori Kawasaki to Triple-A Buffalo.

The 32-year-old appeared in just two games during his brief stint with the Blue Jays, going 2-for-9 (.222) with a double and two strikeouts. He'll continue to function as organizational depth.

Blue Jays recalled INF Juan Francisco from Triple-A Buffalo.

With Adam Lind heading to the disabled list with lower back tightness, Francisco will provide additional punch off the bench for the Blue Jays. He could be worth a look in AL-only formats.
Apr 18 - 11:39 PM

Blue Jays placed INF Adam Lind on the 15-day disabled list with lower back tightness.

Lind was pulled from Tuesday's game when his back got tight on him, and he was unable to progress in recent days which necessitated the move. In a corresponding move, Juan Francisco was recalled from Triple-A Buffalo.

Leonys Martin homered, tripled and drove home four runs, leading the Rangers in a 12-0 rout of the White Sox in Texas on Friday.

Martin wound up 3-for-5 with a pair of runs scored in the game, finishing a double short of the cycle. He's doing everything in his power to show that he deserves to be hitting higher in the lineup, slashing .315/.373/.444 with a homer, nine RBI and two steals on the season.

Robinson Chirinos had a monster day at the plate in Friday's rout of the White Sox, going 3-for-5 with a homer and two RBI.

With all of the powerful bats in the Rangers lineup, it's Chirinos who is the first to sock a pair of dingers on the season. He's hitting .233/.303/.467 on the year, which blows J.P. Arencibia out of the water, and could soon lead to more playing time behind the dish.
