The Broncos will work out free agent K Jay Feely on Tuesday.
Former Bucs kicker Connor Barth will be at the same tryout. The Broncos are putting current PK Brandon McManus on notice. McManus has missed four field goals, and Denver's playcalling has shown little confidence in him.
Bishop Sankey suffered a stinger in the Titans' Week 12 loss to Philadelphia.
Sankey suffered the injury on a lost fumble. He returned to the game and should be all systems go for Sunday's Week 13 clash with the Titans.
Dexter McCluster is currently in the NFL's concussion protocol.
If McCluster can't play Sunday against the Texans, the Titans might be forced to put more on Bishop Sankey's plate in obvious passing situations.
Browns coach Mike Pettine praised Isaiah Crowell's work ethic and practice performance during his Monday press conference.
Pettine said Crowell "works hard," has "figured out the practice part," and now "we're getting results." Crowell has played 63 percent of Cleveland's offensive snaps the past two games, averaging 5.73 YPC with a pair of touchdowns. Terrance West did get more touches (15) than Crowell (12) in Sunday's win over Atlanta, but is averaging 3.89 yards per carry over the past two weeks.
Colts coach Chuck Pagano stated Monday that Dwayne Allen (ankle) remains "day to day" ahead of a Week 13 game with the Redskins.
Pagano "doesn't know" whether Allen will practice this week. "He’s trending in the right direction but he’s going to be day-to-day," were Pagano's words. Fantasy owners shouldn't count on having Allen available against the Skins.
Colts RT Gosder Cherilus (shoulder) is expected back this week.
The Colts lost RG Hugh Thornton (knee), but at least they're getting back their right tackle. They couldn't block the Jaguars in the first half Sunday.
Redskins placed LB Adam Hayward on injured reserve, ending his season.
They promoted LB Steve Beauharnais from the practice squad to take Hayward's place. Signed to a three-year, $3 million deal in March, Hayward was primarily a special teamer. He's out of place trying to play much on defense.
Colts RG Hugh Thornton is "week to week" with a sprained MCL.
Thornton excels as a run blocker, an area in which Indianapolis' offense was already struggling. The Colts will turn to Lance Louis at right guard.
