Angels optioned RHP Cam Bedrosian to Triple-A Salt Lake.
Bedrosian had allowed four earned runs over his last four appearances and has walked 10 over 15 2/3 relief frames with the big club this season. He should get another shot at some point.
Angels activated RHP Mike Morin from the 15-day disabled list.
Morin missed the last month with a strained left oblique. He'll return to a setup role.
Yan Gomes is not in the Indians' lineup Wednesday.
It's just a routine day of rest. Roberto Perez is catching with Gomes out.
Francisco Lindor is not in the Indians' lineup Wednesday.
It looks to be a simple day off. Mike Aviles is at second base with Lindor on the bench.
Angels general manager Jerry Dipoto has announced that he has resigned from his position.
Owner Arte Moreno and president John Carpino made a last-ditch effort to try and keep Dipoto around, but it didn't work. Dipoto's relationship with manager Mike Scioscia has become frayed enough to this point that it didn't make sense to stick around. ESPN's Jerry Crasnick reported previously that assistant general manager Matt Klentak is expected to be promoted to take Dipoto's vacated spot.
Giants SS prospect Christian Arroyo belted a career-best five hits in Tuesday's win for High-A San Jose.
That matches a team record. Arroyo has hit .467 with two RBI over his last seven games. Over that stretch, his batting average has climbed 39 points from .282 to .321. The former first-round pick missed several games in May with a strained oblique but that injury is obviously well behind him.
Rougned Odor is absent from the Rangers' lineup Wednesday.
He's just getting a breather. Hanser Alberto is filling in at second base and in the leadoff spot for Odor.
Josh Hamilton is not in the Rangers' lineup Wednesday.
The Rangers are saying he's healthy, so it appears this is just Hamilton being eased back into things. The club is going with Ryan Rua in left field and Leonys Martin in center Wednesday.
