Greg Olsen caught 2-of-4 targets for 21 yards in the Panthers' third preseason game Friday night.

It could have been a much bigger night. Olsen was wide open with room to run down the seam early in the first quarter, but the pass from Cam Newton was behind him. Olsen has four catches for 43 yards this preseason. He is currently being drafted in the 8th round.

Jordy Nelson caught two passes for 19 yards with a touchdown in Friday's preseason game against the Raiders.

Marshawn Lynch ran three times for 16 yards and a touchdown in Seattle's third preseason game Friday night.

This was Lynch's 2014 preseason debut. He looked as sharp as ever, scoring a seven-yard TD on a shotgun draw to cap Seattle's opening drive. That was the only action of the night for Lynch, who was replaced by Robert Turbin on the team's second possession. Lynch's workload should remain intact to open the season, particularly after Seattle gave him a pay raise. He's a fantasy RB1.

Blake Bortles completed 10-of-16 passes for 158 yards and a touchdown in the Jaguars' third preseason game.

Bortles came in to operate the two-minute offense at the end of the first half and led the Jaguars to a field goal. He played with the starters for the first time this preseason and didn't disappoint. Bortles showed good anticipation on his throws and was able to lead his receivers into open spots. He's 28-of-44 for 435 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions through three preseason games. Chad Henne remains the favorite to start Week 1, but it's becoming clear Bortles gives Jacksonville their best chance to win.
Aug 22 - 10:29 PM

Chris Johnson rushed nine times for 42 yards in Friday's preseason game, adding two catches for an additional 35 yards.

Johnson got the "start" over Chris Ivory, but both players spent ample time with the first-team offense. CJ2K out-touched Ivory 8-5 while Geno Smith was in the game. Ivory looked good, but so did Johnson, even breaking a few tackles. That was something he rarely did last season in Tennessee. Johnson had big lanes to run through, and looked lightning quick in the open field. He has 23 carries for 107 yards (4.65 YPC) and a touchdown through three preseason games. He's caught six passes for 52 yards. Johnson will be best utilized as a FLEX play in fantasy leagues. 23

Matt Schaub completed 13-of-27 passes for 110 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions in Friday's preseason game at Green Bay.

Schaub was nothing short of brutal, especially when facing the Packers' first-string defense in the first half (61 yards on 22 attempts). His arm strength is shot, he's immobile in the pocket and his starting receivers can't make anything happen after the catch. Through three preseason games, Schaub is 24-of-47 for 218 yards with no touchdowns and one interception. The Raiders are going to have one of the league's worse passing "attacks" this season.
Aug 22 - 10:25 PM

Jonathan Stewart rushed four times for 11 yards and caught one pass for 20 yards against the Patriots.

Stewart played behind DeAngelo Williams, but looked like the better player on Friday night. He finally seems to be healthy, and should carve out a bigger role in the Panthers' offense as long as he can stay on the field. Stewart has gained 37 yards on eight carries (4.6 YPC) this preseason. He is a nice flier in the 13th round.
Aug 22 - 10:24 PM

DeAngelo Williams started the Panthers' third preseason game Friday night, rushing five times for nine yards.

Williams played ahead of Jonathan Stewart on Friday night, but Stewart was the more impressive player. If Stewart can stay healthy, he will eat into Williams' workload. Williams has eight carries for 18 yards (2.0 YPC) and one catch for five yards this preseason.
