White Sox acquired RHPs Mark Lowe and Jean Machi from the Mariners for cash considerations.

Lowe was a disaster for the Tigers in 2016 and hasn't been any better in the minor leagues this season where he owns a 6.23 ERA and 1.77 WHIP across 39 frames at Triple-A Tacoma. He'll add organizational bullpen depth for the White Sox.

White Sox acquired RHPs Jean Machi and Mark Lowe from the Mariners for cash considerations.

The 35-year-old hurler appeared in five games for the Mariners this season, compiling a 1.17 ERA, 1.44 WHIP and 4/4 K/BB ratio. He'll add bullpen depth at the minor league level for now, but should get a shot with the White Sox in relatively short order.

Jose Urena held the Reds to just one run over six-plus frames as part of a 3-1 victory on Friday.

The lone run scored on a sacrifice fly. Urena went back out for the seventh inning, but he was pulled after the first two batters reached base. He fanned four and walked a pair in the victory and now sits at 8-4 with a 3.78 ERA and 65/35 K/BB ratio over 95 1/3 innings this season. He gets the Rangers next on the road.

Homer Bailey yielded two runs over six innings in a loss to the Marlins on Friday.

Bailey held the Marlins off the board after giving up two runs in the first inning. He fanned three and walked a pair in the loss. It was a step in the right direction after Bailey was hammered for eight runs in four innings last time out against the Nationals. The oft-injured 31-year-old has an 8.56 ERA through six starts and will need to show more consistency before being deployed in most fantasy leagues.

A.J. Ramos tossed a 1-2-3 ninth inning against the Reds on Friday for his 18th save of the season.

Ramos induced three ground outs on 20 pitches in the frame. The 30-year-old recently hit a bit of a rough patch, but he has turned in back-to-back scoreless appearances. The Marlins already traded set-up man David Phelps this week and Ramos could be the next one out the door.

Christian Yelich went 1-for-3 with a single, a walk, and two RBI in Friday’s victory over the Reds.

Yelich plated a run on a ground out in the first inning before collecting an RBI single in the seventh. This was his first multi-RBI game since July 4. The 25-year-old has picked things up on the batting average front over the past two months, but he hasn’t shown the same power we saw last year.

Scooter Gennett went 1-for-3 with a double and a walk in Friday’s loss to the Marlins.

The Reds managed just four hits on the night, with the lone run scoring on a sacrifice fly from Billy Hamilton in the third inning. Gennett started at second base on Friday and should be locked in there if the Reds end up trading All-Star shortstop Zack Cozart this month. Jose Peraza would simply slide over to shortstop.

Derek Dietrich went 0-for-4 with a strikeout in Friday’s win over the Reds.

Filling in for the injured Martin Prado (knee) at third base, Dietrich is batting just .239/.316/.374 through 79 games this season. The 28-year-old had an .800 OPS in 218 games between 2015-2016, so he’s capable of being useful in deeper mixed fantasy leagues.
