Hanley Ramirez finished 2-for-6 with a solo home run and two runs scored in Tuesday's game in Seattle.

The 2-3-4 hitters for the Red Sox each collected two hits, the only Boston players to post multi-hit games in a 13-inning loss. Ramirez's homer was even more impressive considering it came against fireballer Felix Hernandez. He is enjoying a nice road trip, hitting safely in all five games on the west coast trip with a pair of homers and three RBI.

Rafael Devers was hitless over four at-bats in Seattle on Tuesday in his major league debut.

Devers also grounded into a double play, and that's the bad news. The good news is he drew a pair of walks, showing tremendous patience at the plate while seeing 23 pitches in his six plate appearances. It was a tough assignment facing the hard-throwing Felix Hernandez in his debut. Perhaps he'll fare better against Andrew Moore on Wednesday, a pitcher with a 5.70 ERA.
Jul 26 - 5:06 AM

Drew Pomeranz allowed three earned runs, four hits and four walks with seven strikeouts over five innings in a no-decision against the Mariners on Tuesday.

Pomeranz labored through five innings, throwing 105 times with a wild pitch. The subpar outing snapped a string of four straight starts lasting six or more innings. His next scheduled outing is set for Monday against the Indians, his original organization. He is 6-2 with a 3.93 ERA over 52 2/3 innings across 10 starts at Fenway Park this season with the opposition hitting just .240.
Jul 26 - 5:01 AM

Buster Posey posted a pair of singles, a double, two runs scored and an RBI in Tuesday's victory against Pittsburgh.

Posey hit .330 or better in each of his first three months, but he has struggled with a .269 (18-for-67) mark in July. However, he is making up for lost time over the past few games, going 6-for-13 with a double and four RBI.
Jul 26 - 4:53 AM

Brandon Belt picked up a pair of doubles with a run scored and an RBI over five at-bats in Tuesday's win against the Pirates.

Belt has three doubles over the past two games and nine of his season's 23 doubles in the month of July. He might be hitting just .237 overall, but he is making his hits count. Unfortunately for fantasy owners he has managed just seven RBI in July, his worst of any month in 2017.
Jul 26 - 4:35 AM

Chris Stratton allowed two earned runs, six hits and a walk with four strikeouts across four innings of relief to earn a save Tuesday against the Pirates.

Stratton was awarded the save despite an 11-3 score, as he worked three or more innings to close out the game. There aren't many old-fashioned saves these days, but Stratton joined Josh Ravin of the Dodgers in securing the rare save on Tuesday. More importantly, he gave his overworked bullpen mates a much-needed rest.
Jul 26 - 4:31 AM

Madison Bumgarner allowed one earned run, six hits and a walk with four strikeouts across five innings to nail down his first win of the season Tuesday against Pittsburgh.

Bumgarner has had a strange and bumpy road this season. Normally his first victory comes in the first or second start of a new campaign, but he dropped his first four decisions and also missed two months due to a shoulder injury. He is starting to pitch like his normal ace-like self, posting a 1-1 record and 3.92 ERA over three outings since returning from the 10-day disabled list. He is likely to continue trending in a positive direction as he builds up his stamina.
Jul 26 - 4:29 AM

David Freese posted a single, double and RBI across five at-bats in Tuesday's game in San Francisco.

Freese has hit safely in a season-high seven consecutive outings, going 10-for-24 (.417) with three runs scored, a home run, five RBI, five walks and just five strikeouts. His previous long was a four-game hitting streak, accomplished on three different occasions, so this is uncharted territory in 2017 for the hot corner veteran.
