Logan Forsythe doubled twice and walked Wednesday against the White Sox.

Forsythe has been a definite disappointment offensively, with the obvious caveat that it hasn't stopped the Dodgers from going 85-34 so far. If he can get hot down the stretch, it just adds more length to a lineup that's already plenty long.

Nick Delmonico went 3-for-4 with a pair of solo homers Wednesday against the Dodgers.

The good times won't last forever, but at the moment, Delmonico is sporting a 1.088 OPS in 48 at-bats as a big leaguer. The White Sox had been starting to sit him some since Avisail Garcia returned, but one imagines this will help him become a lineup fixture for a little while.
Aug 17 - 1:59 AM

Trevor Story went 3-for-4 with two homers and six RBI as the Rockies crushed the Braves 17-2 on Wednesday.

Story is still striking out a ton, but he is hitting .242 with seven homers and 21 RBI in 95 at-bats during the second half. Those power numbers will make him a valuable fantasy property just as long as he can keep his OBP acceptable enough to remain in the Rockies' lineup.
Aug 17 - 1:56 AM

Jon Gray pitched six innings of two-run ball to beat the Braves at Coors Field on Wednesday.

Gray has turned steadier of late, allowing three runs of fewer in five straight starts. Of course, it doesn't hurt that his last three starts have come against the dregs of the NL East (the Phillies, Marlins and Braves). He'll face Kansas City next time out and then probably get the Braves again afterwards.
Aug 17 - 1:54 AM

Mike Foltynewicz was pounded for eight runs in 3 1/3 innings by the Rockies on Wednesday.

Folty has given up 14 runs over six innings in his last two starts, taking his ERA up to 4.75. Some trumpeted him as a breakout player earlier this year, but he currently has a higher ERA and far worse WHIP than last year (1.49 to 1.30).
Aug 17 - 1:51 AM

Mark Reynolds went 3-for-4 with a homer and four RBI in Wednesday's 17-run outburst.

Reynolds is sitting at a Coors-aided 25 homers and 80 RBI for the season. He's hitting just .239/.317/.376 with six homers and 30 RBI in road games. Still, this will probably go down as his best season since 2011.
Aug 17 - 1:48 AM

DJ LeMahieu went 4-for-4 with a double and four runs scored against the Braves on Wednesday.

LeMahieu isn't hitting homers or stealing bases, but his average sits at .314 and he's up to 74 runs scored, including 41 in his last 45 games. It should be enough to make him a top-10 fantasy second baseman anyway.
Aug 17 - 1:45 AM

Elvis Andrus went 3-for-5 with a solo home run, four RBI, three runs scored and a stolen base as the Rangers pounded the Tigers 12-6 on Wednesday.

He also walked in the game just for good measure. The shortstop homered in the fifth, drove in two runs with a single in the sixth and added another RBI single in the seventh. Andrus is having by far his best season at the plate. Today's homer doubled his previous career high of eight set last year. He has a .299 batting average with 16 homers, 76 runs, 64 RBI and 23 stolen bases. He's playing the role of kingmaker in some fantasy leagues this year.
