Tony Romo (back) returned to Cowboys practice on Thursday.

Suspended Vikings WR Jerome Simpson has a November 3 court date on misdemeanor charges related to a July 7 traffic stop

Simpson has been charged with violating a limited license, marijuana possession and having an open alcohol container. It's truly dunderheaded behavior for a player who can't stop getting arrested or suspended. Simpson's current ban is scheduled to last only one more game, but considering the current climate of NFL discipline, that could change in a hurry.

Eric Decker (hamstring) sat out team drills in Thursday's practice.

It's unclear if he'll be listed as limited or DNP. Coach Rex Ryan is "confident" Decker will be available for Monday's game against the Bears, but that could change if Decker doesn't progress over the next two days of practice. For now, Decker should be considered a high-risk WR3.

Jonathan Dwyer is accused of head-butting his wife and breaking her nose after she "refused his sexual advances."

Per the police report, Dwyer "punched her in the face the next day." Dwyer also allegedly threw a shoe at his 17-month-old son during. The incidents took place in July, but Dwyer's wife — who has since left the state — came forward after he "sent suicidal text messages including a photo of a knife." It's a grim situation. Dwyer almost certainly won't play again this season.

A.J. Green (foot) returned to Bengals practice Thursday.

He'll likely be listed as "limited." It puts Green on track to play in Sunday's game against the Titans, but how he bounces back on Friday will be key. His status cannot be taken for granted. Even if Green does suit up, he'll be more of a low-end WR1 than his usual top-three self. There's a chance he'll draw much-fewer targets than usual as a decoy.
Sep 18 - 1:10 PM

Carson Palmer (shoulder) has only been able to throw a little this week.

Palmer is waiting for the nerve in his throwing shoulder to "fire." He's tried ice, massage, acupuncture and dry needling without much success. At this point, it doesn't sound like Palmer will have much arm strength even if he can suit up against the 49ers Sunday.
Sep 18 - 12:49 PM

Vikings OC Norv Turner said he will use both Matt Asiata and Jerick McKinnon in Sunday's game against the Saints.

Turner added that he might use one back more than the other if someone gets a hot hand. Asiata will have the first crack to get that hot hand as he'll almost certainly start the game, but we know this low-upside bulldozer with a career 3.56 YPC won't help the Adrian Peterson-less Vikings move the ball consistently. The freaky McKinnon could, but has to prove reliable and pass protect better (one sack allowed on three pass pro chances Week 2). Asiata remains the "safer" Week 3 fantasy flex play, but McKinnon is the better long-term hold.
Sep 18 - 12:36 PM

Marqise Lee (hamstring) will not play in Sunday's game against the Colts.

Lee has been battling this hamstring issue since originally tweaking it in the opener. Already in danger of losing his starting job, he'll now really be placed on the back burner and can be dropped in re-draft fantasy formats. Cecil Shorts (hamstring) and Allen Hurns (ankle) project as the Jags starters if they're active. Allen Robinson and Mike Brown would also have roles.
