Giants activated INF Ehire Adrianza from the 15-day disabled list.

Adrianza wound up missing close to three weeks with a strained right hamstring. The 24-year-old utility infielder is a .215/.260/.301 career hitter in the majors.

Giants optioned OF Juan Perez to Triple-A Fresno.

Perez has batted just .156/.208/.267 in 50 plate appearances this season at the major league level. Ehire Adrianza (hamstring) was activated from the 15-day disabled list in a corresponding 25-man roster move.

Rangers outfield prospect Nick Williams went 4-for-5 with two doubles, one triple, and a walk for High-A Myrtle Beach on Wednesday, raising his season line to .326/.376/.543.

Williams has hit .394/.452/.788 with seven doubles, two triples, and five home runs in 16 games since returning from a hamstring injury. His strikeout totals are much too high (79 in 292 plate appearances, which is 27.1 percent), but he has continued to hit very well in the High-A Carolina League. Williams could see time with Double-A Frisco, where his ultra-aggressive approach would need to be toned down in order to achieve success.

Mariners recalled LHP Lucas Luetge from Triple-A Tacoma.

Luetge has posted a 3.40 ERA and 44/19 K/BB ratio in 39 2/3 innings this season at the Triple-A level. He made three appearances with the M's earlier this year and is now back to help out in a left-handed relief role.

Mariners optioned RHP Stephen Pryor to Triple-A Tacoma.

Pryor walked two and allowed a run in a relief appearance with the Mariners on Wednesday night against the Twins. He was up in the majors for less than 24 hours.
Jul 10 - 1:49 AM

Kendrys Morales drove in three runs against his former team to help the Twins thump the Mariners 8-1 on Wednesday.

Morales had an RBI double in the first, a sacrifice fly in the second, and ended up on second on Logan Morrison's error in the fourth, a miscue which allowed a pair of runners to cross the plate. Morales his hit safely in each of the first three games of this series; perhaps returning to Seattle has finally awoken his bat. The veteran is now slashing a meager .232/.254/.321 with one homer and 14 RBI in 29 games for the Twins.

Sam Fuld - OF - Twins

Sam Fuld reached base three times, drove in a run and scored another in Wednesday's 8-1 blowout at Seattle's expense.

He finished 1-for-2 with a pair of walks. Fuld is 13-for-29 (.448) over his past nine games, and he's accrued a multi-hit game in four of his last seven. He doesn't have the tools to be a consistent contributor in even AL-only leagues, but he can be started by those without better options in that format as long as he's hot and receiving everyday at-bats.
Jul 10 - 1:39 AM

Kyle Gibson spun six shutout innings in Wednesday's 8-1 victory over the Mariners.

Gibson scattered seven hits, punched out three and issued one free pass. He's gone 4-2 with a 2.51 ERA in seven starts at home, but came into this outing 3-5 with a 5.54 ERA in 10 road outings. Looking to continue to improve his effectiveness away from the Twin Cities in the second half, Gibson heads into the All-Star break 8-7 with a 3.92 ERA and 1.26 WHIP.
