Bengals waived QB Tyler Wilson.
Wilson spent three weeks as a camp arm with Cincinnati. The former Raiders fourth-round pick does have practice squad eligibility left for 2014.
Eagles placed WR Arrelious Benn (concussion) on injured reserve, ending his season.
The 39th overall pick in the 2010 draft, Benn's NFL career has been railroaded by various injuries. He'll probably be released with a settlement.
Jaguars waived QB Stephen Morris.
Jacksonville "hopes" to sign Morris to its practice squad. A big-armed passer out of Miami (FL), Morris played for Jags OC Jedd Fisch in college.
Buccaneers released K Connor Barth.
The move leaves Patrick Murray as the lone placekicker on Tampa Bay's roster. The Bucs may eventually sign a free agent kicker off the street.
Titans waived RB Antonio Andrews.
A suped-up BenJarvus Green-Ellis, Andrews flashed in the preseason, and the Titans hope to stash him on their practice squad. If Andrews does land there, he could eventually get a call-up in the event of a Shonn Greene injury.
Eagles waived WR Ifeanyi Momah.
It's only a surprise because Momah got first-team snaps in preseason games. He didn't do much with them, however, and has practice squad eligibility.
Friday's release of BenJarvus Green-Ellis solidifies rookie Jeremy Hill as the "banger complement" to Giovani Bernard, per Bengals.com.
Keep in mind the expectations of Hill playing a significant role in the Bengals' backfield are coming directly and repeatedly from the team's own website. Cedric Peerman and Rex Burkhead will make the final 53 as depth pieces with special teams value. Hill's workload remains uncertain entering Week 1 against Baltimore, but he could become an every-week RB2/flex sooner rather than later on a Bengals team that wants to pound the rock.
Eagles waived RB Henry Josey.
The Eagles may want to stash Josey on their practice squad, but he is a waiver claim candidate after averaging 6.6 YPC in the preseason and running 4.43 at the Combine. Josey is a dynamic if undersized change-of-pace prospect.
