DJ LeMahieu exited Tuesday's game against the Giants with a right groin cramp.

LeMahieu evidently must have felt something when he ran out a groundball in the top of the fourth, as he was removed in between innings. A cramp is certainly better than a strain, and the Rockies are calling him day-to-day. However, they might have more on the second baseman's status after the game.

Jose Quintana shut out the Yankees for 6 1/3 innings, allowing just two hits, in a no-decision Tuesday.

The one-time King of the No-Decision has just four this year, though he's turned in gems on all of those (5 R in 26 2/3 IP). Quintana hasn't allowed a run in his last two starts. His ERA has dropped from 5.60 to 4.37 since the beginning of the month.

Luis Severino allowed just one run in seven innings and struck out 12 against the White Sox on Tuesday.

Severino has three 10-strikeout games this year, two coming against the White Sox. He was coming off a pair of subpar outings versus the A's and Angels, but he would have feasted on any lineup with the way he was throwing tonight. Unfortunately, the Yankees never did score while he was in the game, leaving him with his seventh no-decision to go along with a 5-3 record and a 3.15 ERA.

Called on to pitch the ninth with Aroldis Chapman unavailable, Dellin Betances took a blown save and a loss Tuesday against the White Sox.

Both Betances and Chapman had pitched the last two days, and it seemed Betances might be unavailable when he wasn't called on in the eighth tonight. Still, it seems like the plan all along was to use him in the ninth if the Yankees had a lead. They were winning by one when Betances came in and walked two and hit another. He got to two outs, then gave up a game-ending two-run single to Jose Abreu. It was his first ninth-inning blown save this year and just his second blown save of any sort.

Matt Davidson fanned all four times he was up Tuesday against the Yankees.

Davidson had his average all of the way up to .270 a few days ago, but he is 0-for-16 with 10 strikeouts in his last four games. He's sporting a 93/12 K/BB ratio in 230 plate appearances this season. Still, he does have 17 homers.
Jun 27 - 11:49 PM

Adam Duvall blasted his 17th home run of the season on Tuesday, powering the Reds to an 8-6 victory over the Brewers.

Duvall clobbered a two-run shot off of Junior Guerra, increasing the Reds' lead to 3-0 in the first inning. He also doubled in the ballgame, finishing the night 2-for-4 with a pair of runs scored. He's enjoying another terrific season offensively, slashing .278/.322/.544 with 17 bombs and 52 RBI.
Jun 27 - 11:42 PM

Eugenio Suarez blasted one of four Reds' homers in Tuesday's victory over the Brewers.

His solo shot off of Junior Guerra in the third inning tied the game at 5-5. He also drew a pair of walks in the contest, finishing the night 1-for-2. Despite his recent slump, Suarez is still hitting .265/.365/.471 with 12 long balls and 42 RBI on the season.
Jun 27 - 11:42 PM

Raisel Iglesias worked a perfect ninth inning on Tuesday, protecting a two-run lead to earn his 13th save of the season.

Iglesias has excelled in his transition to the bullpen and has built considerable job security as the club's primary closer. He owns an impressive 1.69 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 45/16 K/BB ratio across 37 1/3 innings on the season while successfully converting 13 of his first 14 save chances.
