Red Sox purchased the contract of INF Jeff Bianchi from Triple-A Pawtucket.

Bianchi has hit .302/.373/.340 with Pawtucket this season. He'll provide infield depth.

Red Sox placed OF Shane Victorino on the 15-day disabled list with a left calf strain.

Victorino originally hurt the calf in the middle of last week and then aggravated the ailment on Saturday. He's played just 50 of a possible 204 games since the start of 2014 due to a variety of ailments. Rusney Castillo will be the Red Sox' everyday right fielder.

Kurt Suzuki is not in the Twins' lineup Sunday.

He's simply getting some rest. Chris Herrmann is behind the dish Sunday in Suzuki's place.

Buck Farmer will be recalled to start for the Tigers on Thursday in Anaheim.

Farmer is taking Kyle Lobstein's (shoulder) spot in the rotation. The 24-year-old was knocked around during his time with the big club last season but is off to a great start this year at Triple-A Toledo with a 2.98 ERA and 50 strikeouts over 51 1/3 innings. He could be worth a shot in AL-only leagues.

Tigers recalled INF Dixon Machado from Triple-A Toledo.

Machado is batting .274/.339/.331 with one homer and five steals at Toledo this season. He'll give the Tigers some infield depth with Jose Iglesias (knee) banged up.

Tigers placed LHP Kyle Lobstein on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to May 19, with left shoulder inflammation.

He's actually been dealing with the shoulder issue for a couple starts and it apparently hasn't been getting better. Lobstein will undergo an MRI to make sure he's not dealing with anything more than inflammation. Buck Farmer will take his spot in the Tigers' rotation.

Juan Lagares (pectoral, elbow) has been scratched from the Mets' lineup Sunday.

He's still dealing with elbow and pectoral soreness. It's not clear at this point whether the Mets might consider putting Lagares on the disabled list, but for now he should be considered day-to-day. Darrell Ceciliani took his spot in center field Sunday.
