Zach Miller caught 8-of-9 targets for 78 yards and two touchdown in Week 3 against Dallas.
Miller scored both of Chicago’s touchdowns, including one a fourth-and-goal pass from Brian Hoyer in the third quarter. He’s been more involved under Hoyer the last two weeks, and is settling in as the No. 2 pass game option. Miller will be a touchdown-dependent TE2 for a matchup with Detroit in Week 4.
Eddie Royal caught three passes for 21 yards in Week 3.
Royal took a step back after going over 50 yards this first two weeks. He was clearly behind Alshon Jeffery, Kevin White, and Zach Miller. Royal shouldn’t be rostered in re-draft leagues.
Kevin White caught 6-of-14 targets for 62 yards in Week 3 against Dallas.
The targets look good, but White wasn't wasn't much of a factor before making a 32-yard catch in the fourth quarter. He was finally able to distance himself from Eddie Royal, who finished with just three catches. White's arrow is pointing up, but he's just a bench stash in standard leagues
Alshon Jeffery caught 5-of-7 targets for 71 yards in Week 3 against Dallas
Playing through a knee injury, Jeffery didn’t have a huge role, finishing behind Kevin White (14) and Zach Miller (9) in targets. He didn’t get any red-zone looks, with Zach Miller getting both Chicago touchdowns. It’s the third straight game Jeffery has been held out of the end-zone. Jeffery could get a boost if Jay Cutler returns this week.
Jordan Howard had nine carries for 45 yards in Week 3 against Dallas.
He added four catches for 47 yards on six targets. Howard replaced Jeremy Langford on the third drive and had a 36-yard run on his first carry. He stared the second half over Langford and finished the game after he was carted off with an ankle injury. With Langford struggling even before going down, Howard has potential to run away with the starting job. He’s one of this week’s top waiver pickups.
Brian Hoyer completed 30-of-48 passes for 317 yards and two touchdowns in Week 3 against Dallas.
Hoyer struggled to move the offense, but managed to pad his stats with two touchdowns to TE Zach Miller. All of his yards came on checks downs and screen passes after Chicago abandoned the run in the second half. With Jay Cutler close returning, Hoyer isn't a lock to start next week.
Jeremy Langford was carted off with an ankle injury in Week 3 against Dallas.
He's done for the night. Langford had 46 total yards on five touches before exiting. He was already losing work to Jordan Howard, and is now potentially dealing with a multi-week injury.
49ers CB Jimmie Ward exited Week 3 against the Seahawks with a quad injury and will undergo an MRI on Monday.
Ward went down with a non-contact injury. Coach Chip Kelly says he thinks it's a muscle injury as opposed to a ligament issue in Ward's knee. Ward is the 49ers' base right corner and moves into the slot in sub-packages.
