Marcell Ozuna went 0-for-4 with a strikeout in Friday's loss to the Mets.

And with that, his 15-game hitting streak is finished. Given his penchant for the strikeout, we wouldn't count on much from him on the batting average front, but his power is arriving in a hurry. The 23-year-old outfielder already has 15 homers through 90 games which puts him on pace for just over 25 for the year.

Munenori Kawasaki was forced to leave Friday's game against the Rays in the seventh inning due to tightness in his right hamstring.

Kawasaki is considered day-to-day and should return to the Blue Jays lineup at some point over the weekend. He was 1-for-4 with an RBI before departing.
Jul 11 - 9:59 PM

Nolan Reimold is considered day-to-day after leaving Friday's game with a strained left calf.

Reimold appeared to tweak something while running the bases in the fourth inning, advancing twice on fly balls to the outfield. He appears to have avoided any type of significant injury though, and should return to the Blue Jays lineup at some point over the weekend.
Jul 11 - 9:13 PM

Jake Smolinski is considered day-to-day after being diagnosed with a left elbow contusion.

Smolinski was forced to leave Friday's game after being hit by a pitch. The good news, is that X-rays came back negative, so he should be good to go in a day or two.
Jul 11 - 9:03 PM

Giants designated INF Brandon Hicks for assignment.

Hicks had served as the Giants starting second baseman early in the season, but was hitting a meager .162/.280/.319 with eight homers and 22 RBI in his 204 at-bats on the season. He could attract interest via waivers from team's looking for middle infield depth.
Jul 11 - 8:58 PM

Giants activated INF Marco Scutaro from the 60-day disabled list.

Scutaro is not in the Giants lineup on Friday, but will be available as a pinch hitter off the bench. He's worth a look as a middle infield option in deeper mixed league formats.
Jul 11 - 8:55 PM

Jake Smolinski was removed from Friday's game against the Angels after being hit by a pitch in his arm.

He'll presumably head for X-rays and the Rangers should provide an update on his status shortly. Daniel Robertson replaced him in left field.
Jul 11 - 8:51 PM

Desmond Jennings is considered day-to-day after leaving Friday's game with a bruised left knee.

Jennings fouled a ball off his knee early in the game and was lifted for Kevin Kiermaier. Expect him to return to the Rays lineup at some point over the weekend.
