Marcell Ozuna drove in the Marlins' only two runs with a two-RBI double in Sunday's win over the Diamondbacks.

The big two-out hit came in the sixth inning and was all the runs the Marlins needed in the pitchers' duel. Ozuna now has a modest five-game hitting streak going and is batting .297 over 18 games to go along with eight RBI. He's likely played his way into being kept on the big league roster after Giancarlo Stanton's return.

Jason Grilli earned his 17th save of the season Sunday in the Pirates' 1-0 defeat of the Astros.

Grilli retired all three batters he faced, needing only 10 pitches. He's been probably the best closer in baseball through the first seven weeks of the 2013 season, boasting a 0.92 ERA, 0.66 WHIP and 31/4 K/BB ratio in 19 2/3 innings. He has not blown an opportunity.
May 19 - 4:10 PM

Jeff Locke fired seven scoreless innings Sunday in the Pirates' victory over the Astros.

Locke looked excellent against the hapless Houston offense, yielding only three hits and two walks. He's now 4-1 with a cool 2.73 ERA and 1.14 WHIP in 52 2/3 innings this season, but some regression should be expected. Locke will face off against the Brewers next.

Lucas Harrell allowed just one run over seven innings but the Astros lost to the Pirates on Sunday.

Harrell got exactly zero support from his offense and was handed his fifth loss despite pitching very well. He allowed just four hits -- one double and three singles -- while striking out three batters and walking only one. The right-hander will try to keep it rolling next week against the A's.
May 19 - 4:05 PM

Justin Masterson struck out a season-high 11 batters while tossing seven scoreless frames in Sunday's 6-0 win over the Mariners.

Masterson permitted just three singles, walked a pair and hit a batter. The brilliant outing comes on the heels of a shutout of the Yankees, and he has now won seven games on the year. The big right-hander is looking much more like the 2011 version and in fact has been even better to this point. He'll bring a 2.83 ERA and 1.13 WHIP into Boston next weekend.

Felix Hernandez wasn't sharp Sunday, allowing six runs -- five earned -- over just five innings in a loss to the Indians.

King Kelix recorded eight strikeouts, but he allowed eight hits and walked a pair. The Mariners' ace left his last outing with a back issue, so it's possible it was an issue for him again today. As long as he's healthy, Hernandez is obviously a good bet to bounce back against the Rangers his next time out.
May 19 - 3:56 PM

Michael Brantley had an RBI single and a three-run homer in Sunday's win over the Mariners.

The longball came in the second inning off of Felix Hernandez. It's just the second homer of the season for Brantley, who was hitting third in the batting order. The outfielder has now driven in 19 while hitting .301 as he quietly puts together a nice season.

The Rangers could place Ian Kinsler (ribs) on the disabled list.

He will have to show that his sore ribs will allow him to swing a bat soon, otherwise the club will put him on the DL and call up Jurickson Profar. Kinsler was originally hurt last Tuesday when he was hit with a ball while stealing a base and aggravated the ailment Thursday while getting out of the way of a pitch.
