ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Rex Burkhead has avoided an ACL tear and serious knee injury.

It sounds like Burkhead and the Patriots have caught another break this Sunday. Per Schefter, Burkhead could miss some time, but it doesn't seem to be something that will keep Burkhead out for an extended period. Burkhead should be okay to return for a playoff run for the 11-3 Patriots. In the meantime, Dion Lewis and James White will handle backfield duties sans Burkhead.

Raiders LT Donald Penn was forced from Week 15 against Dallas with a foot injury.

He's done for the night. Penn was injured after getting rolled up on in the first quarter. Vadal Alexander replaced Penn, with Marshall Newhouse moving to left tackle.
Dec 17 - 9:10 PM

Jesse James hauled in 2-of-5 targets for seven yards in the Steelers' Week 15 loss to the Patriots.

James was a mortal lock to take a step back after a career-high 97 yards last week, but he almost saved his fantasy day with a 10-yard score which appeared to give the Steelers the win. The ball moved when James hit the ground, however, and the obvious catch was reversed. Ben Roethlisberger threw a game-ending interception two plays later. Even in a good matchup, James will remain just a touchdown-or-bust streamer against the Texans on Christmas Day.
Dec 17 - 8:37 PM

Eli Rogers hauled in 1-of-2 targets for 18 yards and a touchdown in the Steelers' Week 15 loss to the Patriots.

Ben Roethlisberger found Rogers with a perfectly lofted pass for an 18-yard score in the first quarter. Even with Antonio Brown leaving the game in the second, that was basically it for Rogers the rest of the game. Brown is expected to miss the rest of the regular season, but Rogers can be left on the wire.
Dec 17 - 8:36 PM

Kendrick Bourne caught 4-of-6 targets for 85 yards in the 49ers' Week 15 win over the Titans.

A 22-year-old UDFA out of Eastern Washington, Bourne doubled his previous career high for yardage. Bourne was a prolific, physical player in college, but didn't profile as anything more than a back-end talent at the Combine.
Dec 17 - 8:22 PM

Martavis Bryant hauled in 4-of-6 targets for 59 yards and a touchdown in the Steelers' Week 15 loss to the Patriots.

One of Bryant's missed connections was a pass he probably should have caught, but he made up for it and then some with a great diving catch down the sideline and a one-handed touchdown to give the Steelers the lead just before halftime. He only saw one target in the second half as Pittsburgh rode the running game, but Bryant will be locked into a primary role for at least the next two weeks with Antonio Brown (calf) sidelined into the playoffs. Despite disappointing most of the season, he will be worth starting in most leagues in a great matchup against the Texans on Christmas Day.
Dec 17 - 8:22 PM

JuJu Smith-Schuster caught all six of his targets for 114 yards in the Steelers' Week 15 loss to the Patriots.

Smith-Schuster was on his way to a disappointing fantasy day, especially considering Antonio Brown left in the second quarter, but that changed when he got loose for a 69-yard catch-and-run with less than a minute left in the game. The rookie looked like he had set Pittsburgh up to at least send the game to overtime, but Ben Roethlisberger threw a pick in the end zone to end it. With Brown out for the rest of the regular season, Smith-Schuster and Martavis Bryant will take over as the primary options in the passing game. With a great matchup against the Texans on Christmas Day, Smith-Schuster will be an upside WR2 for the fantasy Super Bowl.
Dec 17 - 8:21 PM

Garrett Celek caught 3-of-3 targets for 63 yards and a touchdown in the 49ers' Week 15 win over the Titans.

Celek's fourth score of the year was his second in three games with Jimmy Garoppolo under center. Celek has come on in the second half of the season, but won't be an appealing TE2 for Week 16 against the Jaguars.
