Domantas Sabonis played only eight minutes on Sunday, scoring four points with one rebound in a a 118-110 home win vs. the Pelicans.

Sabonis was a starter in name only tonight. He picked up a few quick fouls while attempting to defend the Pelicans' frontcourt, and it was Taj Gibson and Enes Kanter soaking up most of his minutes tonight. The rookie wasn't a viable fantasy option even while playing 20+ minutes, so feel free to cut him.
Feb 26 - 9:53 PM

Donatas Motiejunas (left shin laceration) returned to Sunday's game to finish with six points, four rebounds and one steal in 23 minutes.

Motie left for a while in the first half to get some stitches, but this isn't an injury that should jeopardize his status going forward. His minutes were inflated due to DeMarcus Cousins' foul trouble tonight, so don't read anything into this performance.
Feb 26 - 9:52 PM

Anthony Davis went off for 38 points in a losing effort on Sunday, making 15-of-28 field goals and 6-of-6 free throws with two 3-pointers, seven rebounds, four assists and one steal.

Davis dropped 24 points in the first quarter alone, setting a new franchise record for points in a quarter. He and DeMarcus Cousins combined for a whopping 69 points tonight, but their teammates added just 41 points on 35.1 percent shooting. They're figuring things out on the fly, but so far it doesn't look like AD will take a big hit statistically with Cousins alongside him.
Feb 26 - 9:51 PM

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope finished with 18 points, three assists, three rebounds, two blocked shots and an assist in Sunday's loss against the Celtics.

KCP has been stroking it from behind the arc lately, connecting for 12 triples over his past three outings. He has been a rather streaky player for his fantasy owners, and right now he is enjoying a hot stretch with 22.3 points and 5.7 rebounds over the past three games to crush his season averages. As such he has been a solid bargain in daily formats.
Feb 26 - 9:50 PM

DeMarcus Cousins picked up his 18th technical foul of the season on Sunday, meaning he'll be suspended one game if the tech isn't rescinded.

Cousins finished the game with 31 points and 10 rebounds, making 8-of-15 FGs and 15-of-15 FTs before fouling out, but those numbers are overshadowed by the possibility of a suspension. His combustibility could haunt owners if he gets more techs during the fantasy playoffs. The trade deadline has passed in most leagues, so his owners can only hope that he keeps his cool down the stretch.
Feb 26 - 9:50 PM

Hollis Thompson started Sunday's game but finished with only seven points, three rebounds and two 3-pointers in 31 minutes of action.

Thompson isn't guaranteed to earn another 10-day contract, let alone lock up a starting job in the season's final weeks. He's getting the minutes but the production has yet to follow, and he belongs on your waiver wire.
Feb 26 - 9:50 PM

E'Twaun Moore (personal) returned on Sunday with 10 points, four assists and two 3-pointers in 27 minutes vs. the Thunder.

Moore came off the bench tonight but it sounds like the SG spot is in flux. "We’re contemplating [whether he will start]," Alvin Gentry said before the game. "He’s played extremely well off the bench. We’ll look at the rotations and see what works best for our team." Gentry referred to Moore as an "extra ballhandler" for the team, so he might be leaning toward keeping him in the second unit.

Reggie Jackson (neck) finished with 17 points, six assists, four rebounds and a steal over 34 minutes in Sunday's win against the Pistons.

Jackson was questionable to play due to neck spasms but he looked fine in the victory, connecting on three of his five 3-pointer attempts and turning the ball over just three times. It was a nice bounce back game after he managed just four points in Thursday's 1-of-6 shooting night against the Hornets. His scoring totals have been rather erratic lately but he remains a solid source of assists, occasional steals and points.
