Orleans Darkwa tallied 35 yards on nine carries while absorbing three catches for 13 yards on three targets Sunday in the Giants’ Week 7 loss to the Seahawks.

A week after miraculously going for 117 rushing yards in an upset win over Denver, Darkwa was rendered a non-factor against Seattle. New York’s offense never got anything going on Sunday and neither did Darkwa, who was bottled up from the opening snap. He led the backfield with 12 touches, which was 10 fewer than he saw last week against the Broncos. Darkwa remains the Giants’ most usable back for fantasy purposes, but obviously that’s not a high bar to clear. He’ll be an RB3 consideration when the Giants return from their bye in Week 9.

Shane Vereen delivered four yards on two carries while adding three catches for two yards on four targets Sunday in the Giants’ Week 7 loss to the Seahawks.

Once considered the Giants’ go-to back on passing downs, Vereen has fallen off the face of the Earth the last two weeks, totaling just 10 yards on six touches during that span. He seems to have fallen well behind Orleans Darkwa and Wayne Gallman in New York’s backfield pecking order. Reduced to a change-of-pace option in one of the league’s worst offenses, Vereen’s name doesn’t carry much fantasy weight these days.

Wayne Gallman rushed five times for 15 yards while snagging two-of-three targets for 14 yards Sunday in the Giants’ Week 7 loss to the Seahawks.

It looked like Gallman was ready to take control of the Giants’ backfield upon his arrival in Week 4, but he’s struggled the past couple of weeks while losing work to Orleans Darkwa. Aside from ascendant tight end Evan Engram, New York’s offense is in complete shambles. Gallman won’t have much fantasy appeal when the Giants face the Rams after their bye week.

Evan Engram pulled in six-of-12 targets for 60 yards and a touchdown on 12 targets Sunday in the Giants’ Week 7 loss to the Seahawks.

He scored the Giants’ only touchdown of the game early in the second quarter following a fumble recovery by Landon Collins. The Giants did a nice job moving Engram around the formation as the rookie tight end served as Eli Manning’s security blanket on a day where the Giants compiled just 134 yards through the air. Engram leads all rookie tight ends in receiving by a wide margin and should continue to play a major role in the Giants’ offense, even when Sterling Shepard returns from his ankle injury. Engram will remain on the TE1 spectrum until further notice.

Roger Lewis caught just one-of-six targets for 12 yards Sunday in the Giants’ Week 7 loss to the Seahawks.

His six targets matched a season-high, though obviously Lewis squandered most of his opportunities. Lewis has started the last two games with Odell Beckham, Brandon Marshall and Sterling Shepard all sidelined, though rookie tight end Evan Engram has quickly emerged as the Giants’ go-to receiver. The Giants get a bye in Week 8 before facing the Rams at home in Week 9.

Eli Manning completed 19-of-39 passes for 134 yards and a touchdown Sunday in the Giants’ Week 7 loss to the Seahawks.

He was sacked once for a loss of three yards. The Giants brought a knife to a gunfight on Sunday, trotting out Roger Lewis and Tavarres King as starters against arguably the league’s best secondary. It obviously didn’t help that Seattle’s Legion of Boom was well-rested coming off their bye in Week 6. Needless to say, Manning was predictably ineffective on Sunday, showing little chemistry with any of his receivers outside of stud tight end Evan Engram. Manning kept the mistakes to a minimum on Sunday, though his lost fumble on a fourth-quarter strip sack was an absolute back-breaker. Unless Manning can summon a time machine that brings Odell Beckham back from his broken ankle, he won’t be in the fantasy discussion when the Giants host the Rams after their bye week.
Oct 22 - 9:09 PM

Tyler Kroft caught 4-of-4 targets for 23 yards and a touchdown in the Bengals' Week 7 loss to the Steelers.

Kroft was able to get open for a touchdown in the red zone on a play-action pass. He was third on the team in targets, behind A.J. Green and Brandon LaFell. Kroft carries plenty of touchdown upside and is usable as a streamer in good matchups.

Panthers RG Trai Turner (knee) will undergo an MRI on Monday.

Turner didn't return after going down in the second half. He had a brace on after the game, but doesn't expect to miss any time. With Ryan Kalil (neck) suffering a setback, the Panthers interior line is a Week 8 concern.
