Brewers activated C Stephen Vogt from the 10-day disabled list.

Vogt missed a month of action with a sprained MCL. He'll go back to sharing time at catcher with Manny Pina.

Angels activated LHP Andrew Heaney from the 60-day disabled list.

Heaney will make his season debut on Friday in Baltimore after completing the long rehab from Tommy John surgery. He put up a 2.60 ERA and 29/5 K/BB ratio over 27 2/3 innings on his rehab assignment, but it would probably still be wise for fantasy owners to see how he looks for a start or two before activating him, especially considering the tough first matchup.

Angels placed LHP Tyler Skaggs on the bereavement list.

Skaggs is scheduled to start Monday against the Rangers and will presumably rejoin the team then. Andrew Heaney is back from the disabled list to take Skaggs' spot on the roster.
Aug 18 - 3:34 PM

Chris Davis is not in the Orioles' lineup Friday.

He's getting a breather with the Angels throwing lefty Andrew Heaney. Trey Mancini is at first base and Craig Gentry and Anthony Santander are getting starts in the corner outfield spots.
Aug 18 - 3:24 PM

Dodgers activated 1B Adrian Gonzalez from the 60-day disabled list.

Gonzalez went 6-for-31 (.194) with one home run over nine rehab games as he shook the rust off following a back injury. The Dodgers seem likely to use Gonzalez mostly as a bat off the bench, although they could give Cody Bellinger some starts in the outfield. Gonzalez will at least get starts this weekend in Detroit for the Dodgers' interleague series.

Braves recalled INF/OF Micah Johnson from Triple-A Gwinnett.

Johnson was up briefly last month and didn't receive a start. He'll work in a utility role.
Aug 18 - 3:05 PM

Braves placed INF/OF Danny Santana on the 10-day disabled list with a left quad strain.

Santana suffered the injury during Thursday's game in Colorado. Micah Johnson is replacing him on the roster.
Aug 18 - 3:01 PM

Royals recalled RHP Kevin McCarthy from Triple-A Omaha.

McCarthy was sent down earlier this week but is eligible to return because he's replacing the injured Joakim Soria (oblique). He'll be used in middle relief.
